Where has it been reported the stabbing had anything to do with politics?

I didn't say it was politically motivated but the scumbag appears to have a problem with westernised people as he was called an infidel. Sometimes you can put two and two together and come up with four and although it is wrong to assume without the full facts I'd bet my belongings it was politically motivated.

That's a shocking story but not uncommon sadly. I know of people in my area who have gone through similar agonies with this Tory government. I volunteer for AGE UK every week. One of our users is a 56 year old man called Mel. He's in a wheelchair and only has one leg. He was told he was fit to work as he could use crutches. He's currently appealing the decision. UKIP are even more right wing. If they got in (which they never will thankfully) it would be even worse.

how does not having a leg make him incapable of working?

people with missing limbs compete in the paraolympics, climbed mountains, reached the pole, done events such as tough mudder and spartan race.

sitting i nan office is hardly out of reach is it?

It depends on the person and how it affected them. You know that as well as I do.

Yep, disabled people can also develop mental problems due to their disability but some people just don't understand that especially Iain Duncan Smith and his supporters, but that's a different topic. The treatment of the disabled is appalling.

Maybe this guy could have got a few hours in before he died?

He's very frail. He's been in a wheelchair most of his life and he's also in poor health. He simply couldn't manage on crutches in a workplace.

Well then I fail to see how he got passed as fit to work. He would fail straight away on the basic walking assessment wouldn't he. He'd get enough points on that alone. So either there is gross negligence or we are not getting the full details here.

And you think UKIP is going to make this better?

We all fail to see too. I've worked with him for 4 years now, he attends our IT drop in sessions at AGE UK now and again, and I know what he is and isn't capable of. Good news is his GP has written a supportive report in his favour as has his CPN, so we just need to wait for the appeal to conclude. From what we've been told, he should win, but the waiting is a nightmare.

Yep, the problem is the people who assess actually assess to their guidance rather than the law. I am sure he will be fine but the wait and the hassle of actually going through the procedure actually is very traumatic for many and is a negative factor on their health.

Unfortunately, they won't really take into account what the GP says or even what a hospital consultant and will go by the law. For example, I know of a protracted case where some did have a depleted immune system (non cancer in origin) and whilst they could prove that case with lab result the lab results were not looked at because they didn't form the law behind the assessment.

Add into that they are sneaky asshats and it's a bad combination. I would wager what happened is as followed:

Assessor: Hi, thank you for arriving on time I am glad you found us.
Man: Thank you.

Assessor then marks capable of finding places and getting there and therefore self-sufficient. What the "man" should have said was "Thank you, my friend drove me here because due to my disability I am unable to catch public transport or drive a car."

I find it funny how obsessed The Guardian and their readers are with the UKIP. I can't help but wonder if they (along with others) had not given so much coverage the situation may well have been different.

The comments sections in The Guardian on the articles are especially amusing.

#WhyImVotingUkip Because the weather's really starting to pick up, and I don't want it ruined by gays.

genune lol

Yeah unfortunately every news website that isn't paywalled seems to have to post articles utterly devoid of content to click bait for advert views.

Oh the guardian readership must be in turmoil over ukip. Its pathetic childish rubbish likes this which reinforces my conviction to vote ukip.

I would bet money that more people will be voting ukip precisely because of the anti ukip campaign being run.
