Watch Dogs

I don't see the issue. The gameplay looks fun in the videos I have seen (regardless of which platform it was on).

Everyone moans about Graphics not making the game and having no games to play on PS4/XB1. Problem solved :p

I'll probably buy it digitally to play at the weekend of release. Bad reviews I see in the few days in between won't deter me. I like open world-ish games. inFamous is amazing, but the world doesn't feel as detailed as the videos of Watchdogs and I read the play area is very large. inFamous would have been better with 1 more area to unlock or a bigger map, in hindsight.

If I paid attention to every review going i'd miss out on some classics .......i'll judge it for myself

Indeed, Reviews count for nothing sometimes. I mean the amount of Bad press that surrounded MGS4 when it was released because of the long cutscenes. PFFt, Still 1 of my favourite PS3 games!

I'll judge for myself thanks :D

Slightly different when you're dealing with sequels though. Watch Dogs is new IP and there's been relatively little of the game shown off and discussed really.

It's clearly not going to flop as someone else suggested, but my main concern is whether it has enough variety and longevity to meet the ambitious "go anywhere, hack anything" open-world gameplay they seemed to be promising early-on. It could quite easily end up just feeling like a flimsy campaign strung-together by mundane hacking mini-games (or just button presses, as much of it seems to be).

I'm certainly excited for it, but I'm also managing my expectations accordingly and there are a few things about the game I want to find out about from reviews before I put my money down on launch day.

I know. When I bought that game I had the most uncomfortable chair ever and yet I still sat there through the end of act 3 and the beginning of act 4 which including the install was an hour and 15 minutes yet I enjoyed the whole thing

Pre-order option is up on the PS Store on the PS4 now; £60 for the standard version or £65 for the so-called "Digital Deluxe Edition".

Totally mental, as is anyone who pays that.

Nice to see them milking the consumer.

Remember though "It's for the Gamers" should read "It's for us to rip off the gamers as we are a bit in trouble financially".

So, I accidentally ordered this (or I had a preorder I forgot I had) Can't decide whether to keep it or not when it comes! When do we get reviews?

It's not really a Sony thing though, Ubisoft will have decided that's what they want to charge. It likely won't be any cheaper on the Xbox One, for example.

The PS3 'Classic Edition' is £56, which is a frankly hilarious price for a PS3 game.

Nice to see people not know that the price is set by the publisher not the platform holder ;)

So if it's out on Tuesday, Monday is a bank holiday so I wonder when pre-orders will be shipped. Not that I'm fussed when I get it, playing Transistor.

I'm hoping it'll be shipped Friday so it could arrive on Saturday, but as mine is coming via Amazon Prime I don't hold out any hope of getting it early.

sony will take a cut, probably 10% or something. nobody knows but that extra 10% that sony take or whatever it is, usually gets tacked onto the price instead of the publisher/developer taking the hit.

that's why games in shop are usually cheaper they don't have sony's cut tacked onto it.

guys vote with your wallet, if you think game is too expensive, don't buy it, wait a month or two for discounts / preowned.

my top price for a new game is 30 quid....or 39 max for ps4...antyhing above, no thank you.
