Well after fully inspecting the cards I found finger prints on them, so not new at all. Also, the cards had less items in one of the boxes... one card had 2 socket protectors missing from it (the DVI ones) whereas the other had them all. The packaging was even placed in different places. The cards constantly give me driver crashes with even 20MHz oc, whereas I was promised that these cards would match my old card speeds. Another lie.

So to sum up: -

Tampered with and pre opened boxes
Missing items
Finger prints on the metal parts of the card (where the sockets are)
Constant driver crashes

NOT HAPPY. Now I will have to send these back and wait YET AGAIN for replacements. Well not happy with doing that. I also don't trust the new one's will be new, so I am going to ask for new cards to be sent before I send these back or I start quoting iso9000 and overclockers.co.uk to the trading standards authority!

While most cards of any vender can overclock i dont think any cards other then iirc maybe the kingpin , have any sort of guarantee to o/c at all?

Sorry mate. I've had grease on a gpu from OCUK. It looked like someone went to burger king. It put me off also. I still get stuff from here ,but I buy my GPU's elsewhere. Never had a open gpu since :)

Bought at least 3 cards from OCUK and never had a problem personally. I did once buy a card from the Vauxhall old chav small car (without name dropping :) ) place down South that had obviously been used but it still performed flawlessly for the 2 years I had it. Graphics cards are not cheap so I do expect new to mean just that (unused).

I blame it partially on DSR rules that from what I have read might be changing soon.

That's terrible practice if it's true. We need someone from ocuk to clarify. Gpu's are already usually higher priced from here compared to a few e-tailors and now it seems they are opening cards to test OC potential. Surely that's then a used card? My bro has just bought a couple of 780ti's. Be interesting to see if they are sealed.

I'd love to see you quote ISO9000. Do you even know what it is?

Lol sorry maybe I'm confused. Thought that was the quality control guideline that all returned or used goods get returned to quarintine and properly checked before being resold. Although it doesn't really help here I guess... fact is returned goods cannot be sold as new!

Yep I really need a response here and I hope they don't move this topic to a dead forum like they did the last one.

ISO9000 is a quality assurance system. All it basically does is ensure that processes are followed. Doesn't actually mean that the processes are any good. It's not a legal standard, or mandatory but it looks nice on the website and letterheads.

You'd be better looking at SOGA, or DSR in this case.

Try speaking to OcUK first. Being polite but firm will get you much further than kicking off like a 3 year old that wants sweeties.
