I just got the item today - how am I suppose to change something I bought? I believe my motherboard only has SataIII and AHCI is enable. So if the case is where ive been sold something that doesn't meet the description I should complain and ask for a refund or exchange?

After doing some research it seems Kingston are ****ing with their customers, my ssd is working as intended but not as described. ill be returning this item.

I have a 120gb ssd already the plexor (very good no complains so far) - 2nd one I want is atleast a 250gb and those samsungs as much good I have read about them - just too expensive compared to others - I think ill be getting the Crucial M500 240GB which is £40 cheaper than the samsung

Sorry edited my post with correct SSDs.

To be honest Im not sure why you decided on the V300 over those three in the first place?

Managed to find one for £70! Couldn't resit as I already spending close to £500 on my other upgrades. ill be ordering the Crucial today to get it tomorrow. Now im thinking weather to replace my current PSU if im buying the ssd to future support 2x r9 280 as im getting one today from OcUk around 1pm and modular too any advice on that? or should I start another thread

I've just fallen for this bait and switch too with a 120gb drive. Not impressed. Delivering the build tomorrow (to my dad who I don't see very often) and am stuck, RMA it and get a proper SSD but leave him without a PC or stick with it and have him take the shafting.

lol seems im not the only one!
I currently have a Corsair 600W - doesn't even have enough cables for a 2nd GPU! I think im gonna hold back for now and just get the SSD as the main games I play hardly need a hardcore gpu let alone crossfire. Anyone had any problems with that Crucial M500 ?

The last Crucial issue I have heard about is with the M4 and a thing called "zero hour bug" that was fixed with a firmware update.

As for PSU's,

YOUR BASKET
1 x EVGA SuperNova G2 850W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £99.95
1 x Seasonic M12II EVO Edition 850W '80 Plus Bronze' Fully Modular Power Supply £89.99
1 x Seasonic M12II EVO Edition 750W '80 Plus Bronze' Fully Modular Power Supply £83.99
1 x EVGA SuperNova G2 750W '80 Plus Gold' Modular Power Supply £79.99
Total : £376.84 (includes shipping : £19.10).

The EVGA are both made by Superflower and have a 10 year warranty.

It could be that the Kingston SSDNOW drive may have been faulty...

I've been using the 60GB for a game server which seems to be giving me almost the speeds that it was advertised at though I would highly recommend swapping to something else more high end like the Crucial or Samsung drive.

Don't be put off Kingston by this single issue it could have just been a case of bad luck they're a fairly decent manufacture and one of my first picks ;)

Doubt anyone notices the difference in speeds in day to day usage.

Crucial and Samsung are both excellent drives.

A 600w psu isn't enough for sli.
