I also take issue with those that don't view racism as a bad thing.

Racists are supposed to be hated. They are everything that is wrong with humanity.

Yes racism is bad, I don't think i've seen anyone in here supporting racism. We just have a massive problem because people are falsely claiming the majority of UKIP and it's supporters are, which is ridiculous and if anything is watering down the term by throwing it around just to attack people with views they don't agree with.
 
With all the campaigning UKIP have been doing, it was obvious they'd gain some seats. It's hardly the revolution that people have been making it out to be though.

Rotherham Council's deputy leader lost his seat to UKIP as well. Was a bit of a shock.

I don't disagree per se, but xenophobia isn't really any better.

Not even slightly. You are trying to equate hating what is wrong with society to that very hatred being what is wrong with society.

Ergo, we shouldn't hate racists because hatred itself is the problem. Inherently wrong.

They are inherently racist, but they do it under the guise of a not-much-better xenophobic stance.

Agreed. Appeal to the lowest common denominator and you'll get some support.

There is no need to equate anything, hatred is hatred. Full stop. Do not pass Go, do not collect £200.

Instead of hating racists, you should (in the Hippy narrative I am channelling) try to understand their concerns and try address their concerns or reason with them. If you hate them, you cannot do this. As the Christians say: hate the sin, not the sinner.

On a personal level, I don't care if you hate them. But I don't posit myself as being moral.
