Ukip supporters are paedophiles ?
Sorry but key LABOUR ministers supporters P.I.E

oh I see, much like the lib dems and job losses if we come out from the EU or the constant allegations ukip supporters are racist by the left?

Not really as your examples don't make a moral panic, immigration and crime has consistently been a source of moral panic throughout history, the nazi party used moral panic to come to power. I suggest you go read up on moral panic theory

White Dee will likely pray for a Labour victory. The handout culture they did little to stem drove swarms towards their vote.

A genuine safety net I have no problem with. Handouts as a lifestyle choice is riling.

One of the things that has always puzzled me about the Pro/Anti EU/Immigration/Etc argument and the pro/anti UKIP argument is the continual obsession about "The Economy"

All the evidence presented on the issue seems to suggest that the economic effects are actually pretty neutral (IE No great advantage, No great disadvantage) and therefore, in fact, largely irrelevant.

The issues, to my mind, lie in rather different areas.

Although this is by no means likely to be the only area of concern, I nevertheless suspect that the pros/antis can be mostly separated by the answers to the following question...;

Q Consider the construction of a (Rather large) Mosque at Poitiers some years ago.

Do you...?

a) Consider this to be an expression of religious freedom entirely consistent with a modern 21st century liberal democratic society!

or

b) Consider this to be a sinister and deeply threatening political gesture intended to send the same message to the "Natives" that Edward 1's castles were intended to send the Welsh!

So, whats it to be? A or B ;)

^ Orionaut you appear to have taken one boring irrelevancy, the economy, and replaced it with another boring irrelevancy, multiculturalism.

Riddle me this. Infrastructure is essential for the progressiveness of any modern society. This is a computer enthusiast forum. The telecommunications industry is one of the most fundamental infrastructure platforms in the 21st century.

So why, do i on the Three network have poor phone signal in someplace where my wife has good signal on her O2 network phone where somebody else has 4G on their EE network.

Why is there 4G only in major cities.

Why is broadband marketing still 'Up to 20MB' and in rural areas it often falls well short of this. (sample size, i get 13mb, my parents get 20mb, my inlaws get 4mb if they are lucky).

Then compare that to the electricity infrastructure. One main grid supplies everybody, equally. The utility companies are responsible for supplying their share in to that grid.

Imagine one phone mast, great signal for everybody, everywhere. Imagine fibre broadband nationwide. Imagine net-neutrality and an explicit, fair security/surveillance policy.

Governments are required to move this kind of infrastructure, and until this country gets its head out of its *** with things like EU, immigration and all that, we are up the creek without a paddle. THAT is why people like russell brand exist, and are advocating a no-vote policy. There is no party talking sense about real issues like telecoms infrastructure, escalating utility bills and global warming. The media and the government alike would rather whip you sheep up in to a **** storm frenzy about immigration and eh ma gourd muslims.

Go on. I DARE you. Have a look outside of yourself for one moment and have a think about an issue that affects you in some actual, meaningful, physical way. Are fortnightly bin collections a health hazard? Are our roads as smooth, well lit and pot hole free as they could be? Can your doctor see you quickly enough when you need to be seen?

No please, don't think about any of these things that actually matter. MUSLIMS!>

Personally I would wish that all religions and excuses for religious difference and intolerance were abolished or grown out of.

But A.

Based on my strong disagreement with any and all religion but willing to allow for anyones freedom to practice it.

(vote conservative) :)

We still have integration problems with some communities. All the 'bad' stuff has always been an integration problem. It's not only new immigrants but first, second and even third generation immigrants too. I'm not sure where that ends logically since three generations of their family have been born in Britain but anyway. Sink estates have their own problems extremely similar to these. The important thing is to not talk about these people's poor life chances, mental health issues, chronic joblessness and generally horrible quality of life because identifying the problems and trying to help is racist. Let's cut social services for the most needy in society, that'll fix everything. Should have been born rich and white.

yea it's a joke it is not racist to want to put your own house in order and limit immigration.

Australia is racist? America is racist?
It's just crappy propaganda BS from the other out of touch parties that don't experience the real world for ordinary citizens earning <25k

Most these people are just bumming Europe so they can get a nice cushy job once their short UK career is over they don't care about how their policies effect the little people, It's all about big business and a cheap supply of labour to keep the already artificially low minimum wage down.

Why's the government subsidising minimum wage with benefits? whilst moaning about people on disability and JSA.
if jobs paid realistic living wages and JSA stayed the same more people wouldn't be thinking oh I'm only £20 quid better off working 9-5

This, since when was it racist to have a bit of backbone.
Australia takes no bs stance, hardly Nazis.

Yep, and yep :D.

I'd be interested to know how many island countries don't limit immigration tbh because I'd wager most of them are very cautious.

Is there anyway else apart from Europe that wants free movement of the people without restrictions ? are they all racist too?

let's face it Europe is more like communism than anything else and what hitler would have wanted for germany if he was smart

I've just picked through a few random names in the poll you voted for Labour to see where they lived and it leads to me ask; Are northerners just hard wired to vote Labour no matter who is running the party or what political ideology they are following?

Around here, a lot of people I know were raised by families who have always voted Labour, and they're basically told "we're Labour, we always vote Labour" and that's it. This has gone on for at least a few generations from what I can tell.

The exact same could be said for many southerners but with the Conservatives.
