780 or 780Ti vs 290

Ti would clock the higher than the others. It's also the fastest to begin with. Would you notice the difference in one particular game? Not really. One Ti is still not enough to get an acceptable frame rate at 1440p in Crysis 3 with 4xmsaa.

I'm at 1080p. Was interested to see if a 780Ti stock or overclocked made much of a difference on very high with fsaa or 4 Msaa on that level.

Only if you clocked it high enough. You'd probably notice the difference between one boosting to 1100 to one running 1300 core. But even if you get silicon able to do that on air, there is no guarantee it will do it 24/7

I use Mirillis Action because well, i paid for it. :D

There is a performance hit, but as long as you have fps to spare it does not matter too much. The quality is good though and the file sizes are small, so it makes up for it. It's also recorded in Youtube format so the conversions are quicker.

I just looked at the OP's video and realised im running x4 MSAA instead of FXAA, but aside from that our settings are identical. Will be ready soonish (10-20Mins), youtube is taking forever to upload.

Thanks.

What framerate would a stock or overclocked 780 or 780 Ti get when compared to my Msi 290 gaming on the level in this video of Crysis 3 with the same settings?

Watch in 1080P. :)

EDIT

God what have youtube done to my recording. :(

Crossfire definately makes a good difference. Don't know if i'll go crossfire this round as I would probably have to ramp up my case fans to compensate for the extra heat produced due to the non blower type coolers.

Maybe 390 (or whatever they are called) crossfired vapour-x the next time.

I can do another run with vsync off if you want. :)
