Just rented Watch Dogs and I think it's awful so looking ahead, I think end of the year will be pretty huge for me gaming wise so I plan to put the gaming to one side for 2-3 months until Diablo 3 hits and just get through all the outstanding books and TV series I have on my list.

Will just play some BF4 now and then in between. I have my list of games to keep an eye on and it's massive - so I am looking forward to E3 a lot to see which of them are likely to be good, and which will just be the same old mundane crap that keeps getting pushed out. Hopefully more of the former
 
I'm awful at bf4, loving watch dogs, and felt wolfenstein was one of the best all out fps games I've played in years.

I don't expect too much , I just want my games to run smooth, no or minimal screen tear and be fun.... and my ps4 delivers.. I'll go as far to say my ps4 is up there with the ps1 for the most fun I've had with a games console... use my a lot, and enjoyed a lot of games on it thus far..
 
I don't think anything will come close to the PS1, it was simply amazing in terms of gameplay and catalogue.

A lot of the games that were available back then are now dead and EA seem to be buying up everything and churning out overpriced tat.

Destruction Derby, Driver, Command and Conquer, Vigilante 8, Tony Hawks, etc, etc the PS1 was fantastic and mine took a real beating for well over 5 years every day and was rock solid never skipped a beat I had to eventually give it away after 10 years of use.
 
Agree with Sonny on that. I do think that nostalgia is playing a big part but the variety was outstanding. I guess that was a true next gen on multiple levels though at the time.
I'm going to play some story mode on Watch Dogs tonight, if after 2-3 hours I'm still not interested then I'll sell it on the MM.
 
Nostalgia, awesome to remember such greats but the ps4 is a great time sink, ps1 was as well. I didn't say ps4 is better then the ps1, but it's giving me much enjoyment like the ps1 did.

folks expect too much I think nowadays. Oh well, I'm happy enough with what I've got. damn sight better then the ps3 in its early days.

I think the problem so far is - for me at least - except for Titanfall (I own both consoles) I haven't played a single game yet that is in any way better then last generation with the exception of a minor graphical bump in most cases, which doesn't make up for the lacklustre gameplay and mechanics :/
 
So what will be the next game big enough to warrant a PS4 bundle? Destiny? I might hold out for that if it turns out to be good.
