*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Only bad thing I could say about Infamous is it's too short. Got my game to 100% in about 12 hours worth of play (which is unusual for me as I typically don't care for open world progression). Great game though!

Somewhat embarrassingly I got stuck on the boss fight at the end of the game.. :o Kicked her ass in the end though so it's all good :p

So many games out atm, trying to finish each one before moving on.

Still need to finish.

Wolfenstein (PC)
Killzone (PS4)
God of War collection (Vita)

Just don't get enough time lol.

Time unfortunately waits for no man - last time I played PC was November  and no PS4 for whole of April!

I'm having real trouble selling my bro's PS4 on the MM, is the market saturated with cheap PS4s somewhere that I don't know about?

Yeah you can get the console brand new for £299 online delivered to your door.

I wouldn't buy a second hand one unless it came with a receipt and was substantially less and the receipt could be used should something happen within 5-6 years (SOGA) so preferably a receipt without the original owners name/address. If it has that then it's probably worth around £250 inc delivery.

If it didn't have that it's worth probably <£200 if in mint condition, I'd pay the extra £100 for a brand new one covered by SOGA, 1 year warranty as standard, etc.

Just my opinion on it. Plus people who buy second hand are usually looking for a bargain not retail prices.

second hand goods usually especially technology unless it's rare (which the ps4 is not) are worth considerably less than retail.

£250 with receipt imo is a fair price if it's £299 retail.

£200 without a receipt is also a fair price if it's £299 retail.

Personally I would rather pay £299 retail than £200 without a receipt, so that should tell you what I think of a £200 ps4 without a receipt, it's just not worth the risk, if it breaks due to a manufacturing fault in 6 months time, that is £200 down the drain. Whereas spend the extra £100 and your covered for 5-6 years.

Right, but there's a difference between what you think something is worth and what price you could get selling it to someone else. Do try to keep in mind that most people aren't quite so fussy and won't even be aware that one particular retailer is selling consoles cheap via eBay; the RRP is still £349 and that's the price most people see and know.

so you agree it won't sell on here for anything near it's RRP? either lower the price substantially or it wont sell.

if he wants decent money - ebay (which is full of scammers) or facebook/gumtree, otherwise be prepared to be low balled on the members market by people who know you can get it for £299 brand new delievered.

They always pick the worst time of day to do maintenance. What's wrong with overnight? Even if they were doing it based on US times it'd only affect Europe for the morning.
