**The big ol' Z97 thread!**

Damn.

That should be possible on stock volts etc.

One trick I did notice (but on a gigabyte board) is not to set any value for the watts+amps limit like I use to do on previous gen boards..

Instead leaving these two set to Auto manages fine, when I did set a limit just like I use to do before on Z87 etc, I was being throttled.

this is the default for Asus optimal

my Asus z97 going back so will be buying a gigiabyte z97 but stuck between the
Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming G1 & GT does anyone know what the real difference between the two is as all I can see is the G1 has 10 sata and the GT has 8?

Anyone know when some of the other the pre order z97 boards are available ?

Looking at the giga g5 gaming mini itx / msi gaming itx but they are overdue since earlier this month. Really wanna grab one but can only source the Asus itx ATM. Fingers getting itchy :D

Look forward to seeing the finished article.

I'll have to start a thread for the review of it, I've just had a peak in the bios and OMG! This thing makes the X-OC it replaced look like an amateurs board. Options for EVERYTHING imaginable and more. Memory tuning is going to be an absolute joy on this thing. OH and it posts fine with 4 dimms at 2400mhz - the gigabyte wouldn't.
