It's quite possibly the most expensive mod I could have done to the car. I've burnt about £40 in fuel just driving the long way round to place to hear that noise
The idea of this thread is simply a safety belt
Last month, I bought my first car (an old Volkswagen with two doors), a second-hand one, for 1500 EURO, I couldn`t afford to pay more for a car to be used for work
For the moment, I have to ask a professional mechanic to check it and see what`s to be fixed. My eyes spotted that there is something with the disc holder, but maybe I`m wrong

Just had a service, feels completely different now. Beginning to think the dealer "service" when the car was bought wasn't a service after all...

That's why i haven't bothered doing any fuel consumption comparisons with my old car yet!
Too addictive.Anyway, i gave my car a Power steering change today. Took a couple of hours as i was faffing and couldn't work out how those stupid BMW hose clamps worked for ages, but it needed doing as the fluid coming out was veerrry dark indeed. Looked just like Cola.
Unfortunately I also noticed that the rubber induction boot after the MAF was quite badly split in several places :/ so i've ordered a new one to be delivered Wednesday!
Also replaced the O-ring under the cap as well.

That's a job I need to do, but I believe the rack holds a fair bit too? I may be wrong, it was a while ago when I last looked.

Is there not a proper way to drain all of the PAS fluid rather than disconnecting the reservoir like that, surely that just leaves all the old fluid in the system anyway?
There is, it's a little more involved though. The reservoir has a filter in I believe too so often that gets changed also when doing a full fluid flush.

Finally got round to fitting new front mudflaps on the ST today, the old ones were looking very tatty and had split/broken away in places.
Fiddly job as they're fitted with combination of screws and bonded with PU sealant instead of drilling extra holes in the end of the skirt. No matter how hard I, always end up with the stuff on your fingers
And have to trim about 40mm off the bottom or they'd end up dragging along the road
Shame Ford don't do their accessory mudflaps for the Focus ST, used them on lots of previous cars and they always fitted really well.

There is from under the car but for the home DIYer it's very difficult.
I didn't need to remove the reservoir but did anyway to check the internal filter wasn't dirty inside the reservoir and also to replace the clamps.
I've got a suction thing so i suck out all the fluid from the reservoir, and replace it with new fluid, move the steering from lock to lock several times to get the fluid moving, wait a few minutes with the engine running, then drain and repeat several times until you only suck out reddy coloured fluid. Obviously it's better to drain everything and you use less new fluid doing so, but you remove 80% of the old fluid and dilute the remaining 20% of the fluid still in the system with new fluid so it's still quite a good method.

Done a few weeks back but fitted a Kenwood DNX4230BT nav unit.
Love the fact that switches etc... in the CRZ cockpit are orientated around the driver(pilot), surely that means no busy fingers fiddling with the AC etc when you have it set justttttt right for you and the passenger usually starts complaining (usually a female kind of passenger!!
) and can't get their fingers to the buttons!

yep the driver orientated design was a definate plus for me. The passenger cant see the speedo either
