Leprechaun hunting or snake charming
Depends on airline, I've always required a passport when flying Ryanair
Nobody actually "likes" Guiness.
She has always wanted to go there. However I know nothing about Ireland and nor does she lol.
Also the police playing their annual game of British bulldog with a line of land-rovers and "who can catch the plastic bullet in your face and complain the the Ombudsman fastest" championship.
If flying you don't need a passport, a U.K. driving licence is perfectly fine.
Only if you are flying Aer Lingus, and who does that, considering their usual prices.
Ireland is a strange one for tourism, personally I can't stand it. Fake diddly dee ****e (though I've spent half my life here).
If you're heading down the south west/east, I'm happy to give you more advice on Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford, Cork or Kerry.
(Personally, I think Cork/Kerry are the best parts of Ireland).

Yeah I prefer mackasons (sp?)
Definitely Giants Causeway, Titantic Quarter - very interesting, Belfast museum (they have a cool mummy!)
Drivers licence was fine last time I flew with Aer Lingus
Get an Aer Lingus passenger budgie to Cork Airport. It's great fun, you bounce all the way across. Good countryside and the weather is usually good in summer.
You'll want to hire a car if you're going down that way though.
