Things to do in Ireland?

i have never been, but always wanted too... id probably go for a nice quiet retreat in the outskirts of dublin and just chill and walk for a week though

If flying you don't need a passport, a U.K. driving licence is perfectly fine.

Only if you are flying Aer Lingus, and who does that, considering their usual prices. :p

Ireland is a strange one for tourism, personally I can't stand it. Fake diddly dee ****e (though I've spent half my life here).

If you're heading down the south west/east, I'm happy to give you more advice on Kilkenny, Waterford, Wexford, Cork or Kerry. :)

(Personally, I think Cork/Kerry are the best parts of Ireland).

You dont need a passport if you're flying into NI from the mainland.

Flying into the south may require one as it's a different country.

Drivers licence was fine last time I flew with Aer Lingus

Get an Aer Lingus passenger budgie to Cork Airport. It's great fun, you bounce all the way across. Good countryside and the weather is usually good in summer.

You'll want to hire a car if you're going down that way though.

By your title I presume you're going to the south of ireland?

Not sure what's now good to do but Dublin is really expensive so be warned in advance of paying £5 for a pint.

Precisely. Chances are though that he'll be using Ryanair who require a passport.
