Gran Turismo 6

I was being a bit Jewish in my credit accounting as well, but then I thought why the hell am I wanting to increase a pile of fictional credits and not spend them on a variety of cars to use in races which is what the game is about.

Keeps it more interesting for me. Plus, try winning the historic racing car cup in iB without buying something. The 2Js and a certain Toyota will destroy you.

I have no Middle Eastern ancestry, but perhaps "Stingy" would be a better word to use?

Oh come on, why so PC?

It was merely a turn of phrase playing on the stereotype (rightly or wrongly) that Jewish people are 'good with their money' shall we say.

I am from the West Midlands, but the world doesn't stop if someone were to make a link between my location and assumed stupidity. I don't care. The world is becoming pathetic.

PC or not, I merely suggested you use a different word, especially on this forum- You're an adult, you leave the post exactly how you want it.

I have enough Jewish friends to know it's a stereotype that some of them don't appreciate.

i still dont even know why they even bother having a option to buy/upgrade tires in GT6, one of the races is a set of races in the rain and you cant even use the wet/rain tires, WTF.

You go to do a race on a proper race track - race soft tires give better grip than all the other sets of tires - but noooo your on a race track in a heavy modded race car you can only have these crappy sports tires.

Clarkson the aptly named racial bigot brings more flamewar joy to my beloved gt thread...

How much is this nowadays? Wasn't a massive fan of 5, found the handling to be really random, but at the time was Forza 3/4 obsessed, is 6 much of a change?

£17 from Zavvii was the cheapest I could find it new, when I bought mine a few weeks ago.

It's the game GT5 should have been really. There are still some areas that need work (AI, sound, tyre noise is insane)

Other than that I'm really enjoying it.

Anyone fancy an OCUK time trial contest? Lotus F1 car on bathurst, 1:45.171 is my best to start, racing soft tires, standard set up.

Picked this up for £17 the other day. Pootling through cups and licenses at the moment. Really enjoying it so far! kdd I'll add you to see some of your times. I am pretty slow though not used to PS3 pad for racing before and well it isn't as nice as the 360 pad is it!

Spot on. Never really being bothered by the tyre noise but agree with all you've said.

You'll need a wheel. Got one?

I wouldn't say to a beginner that a wheel is 100% necessary, but some of the faster cars are better controlled with a wheel and it can improve the experience. However, a DS3 is fine to play the game!
