Alfred Molina - Doc Ock in Spider-Man 2 - had his first film role in Indy 1. He's the guy who goes into the first temple to steal the idol, does a runner and gets killed moments later.

Xander Berkeley seems to randomly crop up in about 10% of all films ever made. I never really paid him any attention until he played Mason in 24.
e.g. he's been in Terminator 2, Apollo 13, Heat, The Rock etc

He's in a documentary film called "That guy who was in that thing" which is about character actors like him, who do loads of films but don't actually make much money doing it and aren't really that well known.

We've just been talking at work here about how you sometimes get people cropping up in films and tv shows that most people don't realise were ever in it.. for example, mine was Simon Pegg being in Band of Brothers.

Anyone got any others?

Gwyneth Paltrow, Michael Fassbender and James Mcavoy were BoB as well.

I was astounded at how many of his films I'd seen and not realised it was him. Tom Cruise got me in Tropic Thunder, as I didn't recognise the face but racked my brain over such a familiar voice.

Same here, wasn't until about the last scene that I realised it was him.

Only realised the other day on re-watching 300 that Fassbender is in that as well.

Simon Pegg is in zombie flick Land of the Dead.

Kevin Smith in Die Hard 4 is a quality one. But Brit actors how about the ratty faced one on Torchwood being in The Dark Knight Rises or a couple of the Hollyoaks past actors being in game of thrones. Oh and also ex Hollyoaks Ricky Wittle In NCIS.

Lol this is a REALLY geeky one. Not actor related but in the film 3 days to kill Kevin Costner has a scene where he is talking to his daughters boyfriend and it takes place in an area that I am certain is part of the map from MW3 multiplayer Resistance!

George Lucas in Beverly Hills Cop 3 - Eddie Murphy jumps the queue in front of him.

Bryan Singer in Star Trek: Nemesis - he can be seen as a crew member operating one of the computers at the front of the bridge.

Danny Glover in Maverick - he tries to rob a bank with Mel Gibson there
