Nvidia GameWorks teams up with Ubisoft for Assassin’s Creed Unity, Far Cry 4, Tom Clancy’s The Divis

Not this bs again, just go away please

Why, just because it doesn't affect you/conform to a Nvidia users opinion?

I might as well play it on my 670 and throw my 290 in the bin.

If I were to try and play in stereoscopic 3D, that would eqate to 32 fps v's 54fps in comparable hardware.

Take it to the top and a 770 outperforming a 290X in stereoscopic 3D is just wrong, but maybe, just maybe that's just a wee bit of a problem for AMD users, no?

If NVidia chose to disable GameWorks effects on AMD cards (as to avoid impacting performance) AMD and their fans would be crying that NVidia are gimping their graphics and not sharing etc, they're in a no win situation.

Why? When I asked a Dev from ubisoft about features on watch dogs he said the AA amd will use is msaa while nvidia will have TXaa
HDAO+ on nvidia and HDAO on AMD not effecting much at all if any going from what I have seen.

A 660Ti beating a 7870 is nothing new, as they are both geared for the same part of the market. If people who bought a 7870 are not happy, maybe they could upgrade to a newer nVidia card. That's what I would do.

As for GameWorks, I am sure AMD will code better for it in time and bring the performance up to par for their users :)

Man you come right out of a comic book.

Am I missing something? 660 Ti was closer (if anything) to competition to the 7950 than the 7870 which the 660 non-ti was closer to aimed at.

GI Works (Global illumination

I missed this from the OP and I also missed

nVidia Turbulence

All these wondrous effects are pushing the gaming industry forward.

How? It's all fine and dandy showing on demos but unless we don't start seeing them in games what's the point?
That water demo you posted last year some time where is it in games? Or am I missing something?

It's pushing nothing. This post don't mean I don't like or support these things they sure do look great. But till all us can enjoy these things there going no were.

Did you not see the fur used in a COD game in the first post?

Ok, so when Nvidia show these things off they get slatted for them not being used, and when they are used Nvidia get slatted for using these effects, talk about a no win situation

@Shankly - Watch some of the game demo's and you can clearly see the effects from the video's. Assassins Creed 4 is using WaveWorks and it looks very good. The Witcher 3 will be using FlameWorks/HairWorks/PhysX and probably a few others like GI/Turbulance and the demo's are looking amazing.

They all look like they will add to the witcher 3 being a stunning game visually and my most anticipated game of 2015
