Corsair Voyager not being detected

I was using my Corsair Voyager yesterday evening with no issues, just backing up some documents. Today I plugged in the USB stick and its not being detected by my computer.

The blue light is on constantly, but nothing is showing, even in disk management I cannot see the drive.

It's only 6 months old, and I know I can RMA, but I really want the files on the drive before I send it off.

Any suggestions?

Oddly enough, a few months back the same happened to my Corsair Voyager, only it was about 2 years old. I cut the rubber away and the USB connector needed a pin soldering. Obviously this will void your warranty, though.

The data is far more important than the warranty.

Was it obvious when you cut away the rubber, what was needed to fix the problem?

There are forensic companies out there that recover data from damage hard drives, wiped drives, destroyed USB sticks, burnt SD cards, de-gaussed drives etc. The main one we use is not public facing, however there are other companies that are...
