Quick question for you all, when your doing Bounties do you finish all the map(including submaps like dungeons etc) or just do the bounty and move to the next one?

I've been doing the whole map as I thought there would be more chance of good drops. But if you're going straight onto the next bounty/rift then you'd be killing the same amount of mobs and finding the same amount of chests etc.

Rifts yes.
Bounty's i tend to just get the bounty out of the way as some of them can be a real grind and can be boring compared to some of them.

I personally just do the bounties and move on as your mean to get more benefit from the caches.

Although i (its lucky really) seem to get more worthwhile drops by simply playing bounties than rifts.

Rifts tend to give you more Legendaries but do also give you a lot of trash legendaries too.

For bounties I just do the bounty and leave; finding the target and meeting any additional criteria (kill xxx enemies) usually takes long enough without clearing the entire map. If I'm doing bounties its either farming for a cache specific legendary or for Rift Tokens, neither of which I want to waste any time getting.

Rifts though, it depends how I feel; more often than not I'll kill the guardian and leave but sometimes if I haven't had any drops or if the map is like 80% explored I'll clear the level after killing the guardian.

I've found that the most rewards come from doing quick 6-7minute Rifts at the highest level you can; the guys I usually play with can clear T4/T5 but in the time it takes to do one T4/5 rift we could have done 3/4 T3's and got a similar number of drops, if not more.

I'll always try to clear rifts due to the increased drop rate and the potential for goblin spawns (like last night!). Bounties I just blitz through to the objective as fast as possible, complete, and move on.

I got to lvl 70 last night, and done 2 Rifts. on Master they took me a lot longer than 6-7 minutes :p

Thanks for the feedback guys, it's pretty much what I thought. :)

Can someone offer me gear advice on my WD please? :)

http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/stokietom-2515/hero/44475029 Any stats I should be rolling?

I understand the 'must have' items are Mask of jeram (got that), Thing of the deep (got that), tasker and theo and stone of jordan.

I'm not sure what else I should really be looking for though.

Can someone please post their WD profile up so I can see what yours looks like?

you've got RORG so you can probably free up the chest or boots for something else. personally i run cain's trousers and boots and aug's bracers and shoulders. i use the zuni chest, only because i had it drop and like you am desperately searching for T&T and a decent WD specific weapon, new amulet, another ring and some more zuni pieces. i can do t4 atm. i'm not sure how good dogs are either tbh, i got rid but i guess that's preference and i may go back if i move higher.

this spreadsheet is a good overview for bis pet wd:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1DQKiMcfNzj61t8Bg_lbsnKGShKL7APzz-_obcMDO9YQ/edit?pli=1#gid=0 though there is a problem with fetishes from the passive overwriting fetish army.

Do certain areas now drop certain legendaries more in certain areas or bounties than others?

(probably a bit of a noobish question, just some chatter i was having earlier was confusing)

Rifts can drop anything at any time providing you are on Torment 1 or above (there are torment only legs). bounty reward caches are slightly different depending on the act you run them in, RORG comes from act 1 cache for example.

Recently been finding it harder and harder to bring myself to play, may take a break until Ladders come out or something, or at least the next patch :)

Same, starting to feel like it did pre expansion again. There's just not enough variation in builds and rifts just feel really repetitive now.

In all the pre-expansion hype, I recall a developer's interview where they described being able to put the tiles together in a way to make truly random maps and that they could then put monsters in randomly too. I pictured the excitement of a truly never ending game, based on harnessed randomness.

In the end, the rifts are exactly the same as existing maps with different lighting and monsters. So you get into level 1 and sigh as it's caverns of araneae, get to level 2 and find it's also caverns of araneae. All a bit of a con really.

Aye, to be fair I am seeing improvements all the while though, they are definitely taking the game in a better direction.

I would like to see:

1. Bounties becoming more rewarding for time/effort - some bounties are just not fun and don't give much XP when you do complete them. Especially the "go here and kill 150 mobs" ones.

Maybe something extra for doing all 5 acts/all bounties?

2. Bounty rift keys should scale with torment difficulty, or better Point 3 should be made a reality.

3. Rifts should be free to enter. Why make me do bounties to do rifts? if not free then I would like to see a system that would let me do several rifts for every bounty I do.

4. If rifts were free then I would enjoy the game more as grouping would be more fun. Right now if you want to group with 4 people and no one has rift fragments it really sucks.

5. More end game stuff to do, Tiered rifts are a good start. Maybe they could make the story mode more relative again somehow. As things stand there is little reason to ever play the story mode again, even new characters can level up in Adventure mode.

6. I have been thinking about this, and maybe they could make more torment difficulties available? Perhaps they could even have a system whereby you can find better rolled gear in higher torments.

Give a real feeling of progression on gear if you can find items that roll more stats or higher stats on higher torments.

7. They really need to rework the current legendary items in the game a bit, some of them are just not worthwhile to use for any class, ever. Others have no special affixes and really are no better than rares of the same class.

Maybe reduce the number you can find, but make it so that finding one is more likely to give you a worthwhile item to use.

8. Events in rifts. Adding events would make rifts a lot more fun. Cursed chests/shrines are a good start, but I'm sure there can be others added.

9. Mob density should be increased in rifts to be more consistent. Some rifts are just plain boring, others you get swarmed (way more fun :D). Likewise some Rift levels can be so boring to play just for the map itself. Spider queen caverns, those caves for example.

My interest will be brought back with the seasonal legendaries that get added to normal game after the season ends, eventually there is going to be a tonne of items that allow for a load of different specs. At the moment though I'm not going to force my self to play for the sake of paragon leveling, I'll just wait for 2.1 I think and in the mean time play once a week.

1. Totally agree with this.

2. Again totally agree

3. I like the idea of Rift keys but i think it should be 1 key per rift.

4. See point 3

5. Agree, maybe garauntee Legendary from each final boss for each Act, not just Malth, per complete clear.

6. Yes higher torments would be brutal but need to be rewarding.

7. Cannot agree more with this, a lot of legendaries get sharded without being inspected, 2h staffs anyone? infact most legendaries you can tell from the icon its going be utter rubbish so just shard it straight away. a lot of the crafted ones are just plain rubbish, i have 2 bow recipes the only real difference between the bows is gfx pretty much. All Legendaries should have an effect of some kind, no excuse not to, then they will feel legendary in a manner.

8. Totally agree, more variation, i had an idea where you buy a rift token with your blood shards, depending on shards spent depends on the size of the rift you opened, this would also mean if you knew you had 2hours to play you could open a rift that takes a shorter time to play, if you had 10hrs to play you could open an epic rift that took a long time to clear.

1 shard = 15min rift, 3 levels, 1 boss
2 shards = 30min rift, 6 levels, 2 bosses
5 shards = 2hr rift, 20 levels, 6 bosses
this kinda thing. Have 1 main badboy boss at the end, the other bosses could be the current bosses we have but classed as sub bosses, the final boss could be an uber steroids version, infact i wouldnt mind some of the boss encounters were 2 of the bosses at once to spice shizzle up.

9. Again agree, nothing worse than hitting a conduit pylon and finding **** all to blow up with it :)

Started playing my WD after kinda hitting a brick wall with my Wizard.

http://eu.battle.net/d3/en/profile/supersaint-2869/hero/25767483
