Money = greed. DICE sold their souls to the devil (EA) long ago, instead of valuing the integrity of their own creative efforts they stuck two fingers up at their fan base and have gone down the slippery slope of making games for fickle market audiences. When the kids tire of all the gimmicks in BF and the next big thing comes to market DICE are going to look very sheepish and EA, in typical EA fashion, will drop the axe on them.
It's a shame really, because really we could have had the most amazing successor to BF2 by now with real lasting longevity and mod support.
Yes, DICE released a patch which effectively increased the rate at which you download updates within a certain radius of your position making the game feel more 'snappier' and reducing the chance of you getting killed around corners.
Most of the regular crashes some of us were experiencing a few months ago seem to have died down, or those that were experiencing them have left the community.
A new DLC is also due within the coming days/weeks.

Just grabbed bf4, been missing out on a fps so thought I would pick this up as cod is no more for me now. Really liked playing bf3 with ltmatt and richiesimms.
premium is a must but finding it for a decent price is murder, any one know of a place?

Buy directly from Origin, however through a Mexican proxy. I wouldn't buy Premium. Perhaps try the standard maps and if you get bored then purchase Naval Strike. The rest of the DLC's are rubbish but then again I only tend to pay one map - Zavod.
