Crossfire screen flicker ??

Try using vsync but using afterburner to set an fps limit of 59. I find this removes most (but not all) of the input lag.

Tried doing this last night in bf4 Matt , but it didn't seem to limit my fps ? I added the exe file aswell ? Is there something I'm missing ?

I am sure BF4 has 2 .exe's. 1 simply BF4.exe and BF4x64.exe

Maybe try which ever 1 you didn't try.

Come to think of it, it might be x86. But the same applies, try both.

^ Correct make sure you use the correct one. If you're using Mantle i don't know if it will work or not. If it does not use the in game command GameTime.MaxVariableFps and put it as 59.4. You can place this in your user.cfg file.

Yeah I tried both cheers ... Ah yeah it could have been because of mantle never thought of that, as it doesn't even register fps in afterburner when using mantle does it ? I'll give the cfg a try tonight ! The input lag isn't too bad as it is but it's still there and noticeable so would like to reduce it as much as possible :)

Might want to set this in the user.cfg as well. RenderDevice.TripleBufferingEnable 0

If it's laggy with that disabled then change it to a 1.

Will do that cheers Matt, I take it it's just the same as adding into cs cfg , just open the file in notepad and add those 2 values in ??

Cheers ... You seem to know everything about crossfire issues :)

I've been using it for many years. This tearing/input lag fix was a trick i learned playing Battlefield 3 and i still use it when i play Battlefield 4. (assuming im not recording game footage to upload)

Suppose it's the same as most things in the pc world trial and error ... Do you use the fps cap trick on all the games you encounter tearing/input lag with ?

Yes. It works better with some than others though. Sometimes you need to disable triple buffering to get the best effect, but sometimes games don't like you doing that, or won't let you. I typically only use it on twitch fps shooters as other types of games i don't notice input lag.

A lot of games don't seem to have triple buffering nowadays ? Do you have to do the same as bf4 and disable that via a config ?

Ah I see .. Thanks for the help .. I just realised last night I can enable windows mode in games that have v sync problems and tearing , just aslong as I don't need crossfire , which is ideal for cs go ! I cap the fps at 120 anyway

Correct. Borderless/Window mode has no tearing, so no need for vsync. Not sure if Vsync even works in that mode. If the game uses Mantle then crossfire works in Borderless/Window mode. Just been telling that to some other fella in the other thread.
