Started playing this for the first time last couple of days, Got a wizard to 25 now on Act 2, Its not a bad game to sink few hours a week into

Havent brought the expansion yet, guessing i wont need that till i hit max level?

I would get the expansion as soon as ;)

You can get to level 60 without. After that to get to 70 you would need the expac. In addition the best game modes are in Adventure (Bounties + Rifts).

So yeah I don't think it will matter until you hit 60.

Buy the expansion when you're 60 or finish Act 4, whichever comes first.

Completing Act 5 will allow you to start adventure mode, so even if you complete Act 4 before you're 60 it's worth getting the expansion straight away to do Act 5 and start on Adventure Mode (where you'll spend basically all your time once it's unlocked) :).

Been playing quiet a bit the last few days, game is a lot of fun. On Act III now, hoping too get it done before the weekend so I can start the Adventure mode.

Quick question, once you have unlocked the adventure mode, can you use it on all your characters, e.g. I make a new Lv1 character and go straight into the adventure mode.

Yes
But me personally, when i create a new character i prefer to roll through the story to see their take on the story, well that's what i did with my crusader anyway so if i ever make a Wizard, Demon Hunter or Any other class i haven't played, ill probably roll the story again.

Ahh, I just assumed they all had the same story, might be better to just play through it again if its different.

I downloaded the free trial and now I'm looking to get the game. Anyone know if its going cheap anywhere? Can I buy the box version (which is £20 and the lowest price I've seen) and just use the code to fully activate my trial account?

1st game I've played in a very, very long time where I just lost track of time.

Think the last time i looked CD keys were the lowest.

Yes, you can just apply the key to your account when you get it. £20 is the cheapest I've seen as well - well worth it.

Agreed. Only started playing Monday but it seems like a lot of fun, and the future seems bright for it, lots of updates coming and so on. I got D3 and the expansion pack off CDkeys for £40 i believe, then i just applied the keys they sent too my account, you do have to start the campaign again thou xD.

I thought you could get your character to level 20 or something and then continue with a key?

Couldnt agree with you more mate. All my characters as a preference will run through the story so it gives you a chance to learn the skills and also get the achievements :)

Although most just powerlevel and go on the "grind" right off.

I got mine to Lv9 when I finished Act I on the free version. When I applied the key it started me over at the start of Act I but my character was still Lv9.

IIRC you should still have the waypoints saved or is the story back to the very start again?

I played the trial through to killing the Skeleton King. It then said I needed to buy the game to continue playing.

I purchased a key for Diablo 3 from eBay which was silly cheap! Entered the key and it then let me continue with the story from where I left off. It didn't put me back to the start of Act1 progress wise.

I then purchased a key for RoS expansion off eBay for silly cheap. Put it this way, I got keys for D3 and RoS for about £5 less overall than Blizz were wanting just for D3..... All hail the dude from China selling cheap keys!
