Car Vinyl Wraps

I was quoted £550 for my X5, in black plasti dip, alloys included. I've had a previous quote of £1300 to have it wrapped.

Unsure what I want to do, it's currently titan silver and the wheels refurbing before I do anything. Also a dent in the near side front door that's near impossible to see with the current colour but afraid matte black might make it more visible.

I keep my cars for a long time, so £1,500 over 10 years isn't really an issue for me.

The protective film is also a little more expensive than the "thin" Vinyl, unless you are going for some crazy flip colour or gold chrome etc then they are expensive also.

I would say you would be looking at about 5-600 quid for your car but as said, best to give a call or email for a quote.

Thanks for the info :) I don't want to change the colour of my car, so I'd be after the protective film. The paint on BMWs is soft so it seems like a sensible investment.

Cars worth around 11k, and tbh you could use that line for any mod or anything you do

Where quoted you £550 to plastidip your X5 out of interest? That seems very keen.
 
Nice, at that price its almost worth a trip over. Cheapest i have seen so far locally is £1200 for a wrap (vinyl but i dont actually care) on my Range Rover which seems a little steep to me.
 
I am thinking about dipping my teg next year. But for now hammerite for stonechips and rust must do :D
 
Has anyone had a go at this themselves? I'm thinking of wrapping my kit car (Sylva/RAW Striker). I can afford to have it wrapped by a professional but it seems like a fun thing to do myself.
