What have you done to your car today?

Fitted the my new brake setup :D

Braided hoses, AP racing 362mm discs and TTRS calipers.

Probably not even half the weight of the stock brakes.

Dashcam hardwire done today, all wiring hidden apart from about 3 inches behind the rear view mirror. Gone for the Mini 0801 camera, with a fuse tap and power converter running off the fuse for the cigarette lighter. All hidden away and tidied up well. Only thing bothering me is the sticky pad for the cam mount is grey and makes it a little obvious, I will change it for some clear 3m double sided foam tape later just to make it even more discrete.

Looking good Xez, how much all in, if you dont mind me asking? :)

Not cheap! The discs, bells, braided lines and pads were £1347. The calipers were £275 so all in a shade over 1.5k.

Just been out and the stopping power just gets better the hotter they get :).

Hopefully fitting my BCS sports cat and downpipe tomorrow!

A bit cheaper than what I was expecting to be honest.

I borrowed the Revo stage 3 scirocco some time back and it had the stasis brake kit on it, about £2.5ks worth IIRC - they were superb, ever since I have wanted big brakes.

Where did you source it all from - looks very nice I must say, any more pics with wheels on?

They don't look very impressive with the alloys I have, I am saving for BBS CH or Speedline Turnini's. Mine are bent actually and it's partly the reason I went for the AP Racing discs, the standard TTRS discs are larger but the calipers was then scraping the inside of the alloy.

I sourced it all minus the calipers from a guy on most VAG forums and goes by the name of DaveB at Vagbremtechnic. I can trust you his e-mail if you would like?

Replaced the GPS receiver, the old one seemed to have packed up. Not too difficult, just had to remove the sun visor to find the connector and remove the receiver above the interior lights.

Got my wheels re ballenced today (only got new types a month ago). People that fitted done a terrible job, roughly 100g of extra weights all round the wheel on every wheel. Guy showed me before and afters and now can do 60 without vibrating out of my chair

Installed my new head unit, £50 from Halfords very happy with it

Some stickers, I like the way they look seeing as though I usually remove most stickers and badges but I'll probably end up taking them off
