ShadowPlay is excellent, really great feature from Nvidia; also note that it is still in Beta mode so of course not all options are available, but the fact that it can already record up to 1600p is pretty amazing.

Might capture some videos of my gameplay in PlanetSide 2 (along with my outfit - [VIB]) later or another day, or maybe even some BF4 :)

I just use OBS. It suits me fine.

Ha ha. Maybe a year ago. I've barely played FPS in the last year. My aim had degraded from what it was for sure.

OBS is great, more options than shadowplay currently has for streaming but with a much bigger overhead. You can use NVENC through OBS so the gpu does the work instead of the cpu, especially handy when streaming cpu intensive games.

Ontopic, I'll try some out tonight. I have been using the feature where you record the last X minutes, usually when I have done a sexu SRAW shot or a backrage. Very useful.

I do find that my second GPU sits at 75%-ish with SP enabled. I guess this one is taking the load?
 
Shadowplay is brilliant, especially the shadow-recording feature.
Quality seems to vary from game to game, but still acceptable.
I'm just waiting for simple software that can split comms i.e. mumble/teamspeak from game audio.

Again same as I told you before, its free not a premium App.

Nvidia have said they will add it later though you say they cannot due to license (I doubt it).

How about making a thread for your "Shadowplay Cons" and leave this one for peeps videos and feedback on them. :)

I don't know how useful it is these days but doom9.org used to have a wealth of open source programs and guides on how to use them.
 
I think Shadow Play is a great feature. I try to have it running most nights when playing BF with the guys in the BF4 thread. It needs some improvements, the ability to take out the TS audio completely would be great due to the language used on TS (wndsr :D)

My video editing skills however leave a lot to be desired and I don't think using Lightworks is really helping.
