Starting to warm to Origin now. Some good prices, free games each month. Think that might be a regular thing now.

Not even Steam has ever given away full free games before..

It's used daily for BF4 but I don't actually "use it" - it's never done anything to make me think it's not doing a decent job.

Origin has come on a long way in the last few months - I think some of the furore over recent games like BF4 and Sim City, etc. has finally made them push some decent deals/free games and tbh has done them a lot of favors.

Still my original complaint stands though - I don't want to have to deal with a dozen different platforms for a dozen different publishers and all the extra bloat and DRM that comes bundled with it not to mention the security issues when its not done properly.

This is a very good idea. I only use Origin and Steam as I play a handful of games, but I imagine having to use any more would be annoying.

Would prefer to have one tool to manage all my games in one clutter-free application.

I have never had an issue with it. I'd prefer it if I could used BF4 through steam though, rather than have Origin on top of Steam.

I don't like the way it seems to be an app, then launches a web browser, then forces you to install a browser plugin, then launches the game....

I think the above is true of Battlefield particularly. I can't comment on any others.

It isn't quite as streamlined as Steam.

Client wise whilst idle:

Steam (20 games installed): 22.3Mb RAM
Origin (1 game installed): 86.8Mb RAM
Uplay launcher: 166Mb RAM

Not sure why people think Steam is bloaty.. Origin is fine but as many have said I've no use for it, same for Uplay. They offer nothing that Steam hasn't been doing for years and that's partly why I've no time for them.
