Richard Huddy - Gaming Scientist Interviewed

And we're back to square one, making the same claims that were being made months ago but still with absolutely no evidence* for these accusations.

* And, no, a couple of videos from an AMD employee musing and speculating about GameWorks does not equal evidence. I'm talking actual proper evidence for the claims that Nvidia purposely harmed performance (or paid the game devs to do it) on AMD GPUs in GW titles.

This discussion will not end until Nvidia become transparent about what they are doing.

Huddy says any AMD contract involving Gaming Evolved. ;)

Fair enough, I had no desire to watch the video, but I thought you said he offered up the TR contract? Where in the interview does he state this?

In any case I doubt Nvidia will even respond, even if they are in the right as this is all pathetically childish, and they look all the better for not sinking to the same level.

lol at offering up contracts. Guys you really need to calm down. It just isn't going to happen EVEN IF there was no wrong doing in said contact.

Basically it's just hot air. I'm surprised some of you haven't seen that.

After looking at that video my impression was that he is a PR monkey.
Anyone who believed a word he said needs there head testing

Also, Nvidia say they have opened up the Game Works SDK but will only give that SDK to developers who are then forbidden by contract to share that SDK with AMD, and refuse to put that SDK up for download, meanwhile the Black Box dll files still exist in Game Works, without access AMD cannot optimise or code out those dll's

you want SDK's?

fill your boots, free for anyone to download, don't know where you pick up this fud

https://developer.nvidia.com/gameworksdownload

'Contact us for SDK access', and 'Contact us for licensing' if it was free for anybody compared to hitting the download button with TFX I don't quite get it, and your saying humbugs talking fud andy???

Where are TXAA, HBAO ecte... and the source code for the Game Works dll's?

TXAA = PostWorks

NVIDIA PostWorks enables developers to deliver more realistic looking games with features like TCAA and Depth of Field and Bokeh (DoFB).

TXAA is a new film-style anti-aliasing technique designed specifically to reduce temporal aliasing (crawling and flickering in motion). This technology is a mix of a temporal filter, hardware anti–aliasing, and custom CG film-style anti-aliasing resolve.

DoFB is a library that implements a combination of diffusion based DOF and a fixed cost constact size bokeh effect that is realized as a convolution in frequency space.

HBAO = Shadow-Works

NVIDIA ShadowWorks (HBAO+ and Advanced Shadows).

HBAO+ provides a fast HBAO implementation designed to achieve high efficiency on DX11 GPUs.

Advanced Soft Shadows is a library which exposes a simple interface for adding high quality efficient shadows to games. It improves on PCSS to reach new levels of quality and performance, with the ability to render cascaded shadow maps, and multiple spot lights.

Both available from Developer.nvidia.com

Andy, seriously,

actually click on the gameworks ones, they ALL have a e-mail link with "contact for licensing" NONE are available for download. This is your look at all the free sdk links.

HairWorks is downloadable. Strange that the others are not.

lol, only one I didn't check, also not surprising that it's the only one available with TressFX being free for anyone. Such an epic fail to link to a page claiming free SDK's to prove Nvidia's greatness for gameworks when all but one don't have a download link at all.
