Toure has spoke why he was deciding whether to leave City and can't blame him pretty disgusting by City

Yaya and older brother Kolo are both at the World Cup, and left their younger sibling - also a footballer - with the rest of the family.

In an interview with sports newspaper France Football, Yaya said: "I confess that I am still very sad. I¹m suffering because I feel I have done nothing useful for him the last few weeks.

[IBRAHIM TOURE DIES AGED 28]

"At the end of the season, I wanted to stay for four or five days with my brother before I flew to prepare for the World Cup with Ivory Coast, except that City did not want to give me a few days.

"I went to celebrate the title championship in Abu Dhabi while my brother was in his sickbed. By fortune, Kolo was at his bedside. After that I blame myself for not insisting and for not leading them to respect me.

"However, club officials knew that I had been suffering for a few months seeing the health of my brother decline. This is the reason I had several injuries at the end of the season, because my head had taken control of my body. These last four months have probably been the hardest in my life.

"I have had sporting success, except that when you get home and you find yourself facing the distress of someone you love, but you do not know how you can help, it¹s not good."

[TOURE BROTHERS TO STAY ON AT WORLD CUP]

Toure had previously criticised the club for not publicly acknowledging his birthday, but these claims are markedly more serious. He said that the "beautiful party" of the World Cup had stopped for him on Thursday when he learned of Ibrahim's death.

"For sure, doctors had left me with very little hope when I had left for the World Cup. During those days, he could not even respond to my calls, he was so tired.

"I also felt that brother Ismael and my sister Aicha, who had stayed with him in Manchester, were not telling me everything the last few days. Despite that, in these cases we always try and hold on to a miracle.

"The news came as a huge shock because I was very close to him. We spent two years apart but we were very close. As kids we always stuck together and we played in the famous local tournaments that were never-ending.

"I wonder how I¹ll cope without him. I know that I will no longer be able to hear him, sense him, see him, this feels awful, especially when you¹re thousands of kilometres away.

"Luckily, I have Kolo with me. More than once, he has played big brother to me, finding the words to comfort me, keep me strong, talk to me.

"At one point, we thought about leaving Brazil for Manchester to see Ibrahim one last time. But our father advised against it and we listened."

I read that long before the WC also that there was no clause for a specific team, since he's knocked England out though everyone knows the value of it to one of those teams apparently

Has he confirmed that?

The latest I heard was that his father in law was saying it was the right time to move.

Yeah, just after the season finished. Doesn't mean to say there is no release clause at all, but nothing specific to Madrid/Barca.

"As far as I'm aware there is no clause that suggests a priority for any team," he said. "My head now is focused on the World Cup. Everyone knows there will be media speculation this summer as there always is but I have a contract with Liverpool.

"I just turn the page. You know what the speculation is like and you try not to take any notice. I know what I want and it is more speculation than reality."

This talk of Suarez is nearly as fun as watching Liverpool throw the title away. Do any of you seriously think that you are going to get something like

Sanchez + Pedro + £30-40m

If so, you are nuts. Those players alone are worth 60m+ and Suarez is not in the top 5 players in the world right now. He scored 2 decent goals against England after budget defending and he had a good season last year.

I wouldn't expect £40m Pedro and Sanchez. But I'd say that £50 and Sanchez is a possibility. Especially if a bidding war escalates.

Sanchez is being touted for £28m and Pedro for around £20-25m. Suarez is easily top 3 in the world and should go for at least what Bale went for (£80-85m), so when you break it down, its not that far off.

While I would rather keep him, he clearly wants to leave at some point, so if we can pull off Sanchez + Pedro + £30-40m, I think we should do it.

This is it. Unless you can safely say that he's staying for the next 5 years then the club need to look at when is the right time to sell not if they sell.

As I said last summer, last year was the worst time and the wrong team. With his value now at its peak, us being back in the CL and offers coming from abroad then maybe now is the right time. I still wouldn't want to see him go though.

And Suarez isn't in the top 5 players in the world? LOL :D

Don't know about the top 5 rankings but definitely in the second tier of top players along side aguero , robben , rvp , zlatan and etc

Yeah, thats where I would put him at the moment. Robben has been on fire the past season or more though so I would say that he is better than Suarez.

So you reckon Suarez has not been on fire then? Would hate to see what he would do to the Prem if he was!

Personally I don't think he's quite top tier yet. Someone had it right when saying RvP, Robben, etc. He's in that class for sure.

Really?

His interviews are funny, but he's not consistent enough.

Yeah, but he is great entertainment , I'd love to see him regularly for a season. Never know what he is going to come out with, either off the pitch or on it. :D

For footballing reasons, I would much rather have someone like Sanchez, but for the spectacle of it, it'd be hilarious to see what Ibrahimovic comes out with through a season

I think Suarez's age comes into it a little, but not as much as some make out, he's getting better as he goes, like Robben, there's no reason he couldn't go on like he is for another 3-4 years at which point maybe his pace will then decline, but he'll have all the guile and finishing he still has for a few years further.

I'd say probably looking around 60m, you're not going anywhere near Bale's tag, that felt like a knee jerk reaction to the losing out on Neymar and they just had to buy, so Levi milked them for every penny.

Not a chance.

Hes 27, prone to acts of nuttery and not in the top 5 players in the world.

As much as I dislike the little rat, he's probably one of the top 5 number 9's right now. Unless of course you can demonstrate others who are demonstrably better.
