So annoyed.
Smashed it on an extended run home and tried for some Strava PR'S only to find my phone had turned itself off!
On the plus side though, the legs felt a lot better than this morning

I only enter the distance ones as its handy for something to simply tot up my mileage per month on the dashboard screen!

yea most of the challenges aren't for mortals I joined the 48hour of riding in june one but never expected to get anywhere near 48 hours anyway.

up to 28h 20m with 5 days left I can probably bump it to around 32 hours but it's not even close to 48h and I thought I spent a lot of time in the saddle

looks like one ocuk member has a good shot at it though

EDIT:
Gah just noticed I won't even beat my own monthly record unless I really push my self on another long ride

Was late leaving work today so decided to hammer it back at a fairly quick pace. Got overtaken by Anthony (NCC) around Croft so decided to see whether I could keep up (didn't know it was him until I was just browsing the Strava activities on the club page and noticed he did the same route at the same time as me, I wasn't just some freaky stalker, honest!). I couldn't keep up but always had him in sight which was good. Would have been on for a really fast time home but hit lots of parked traffic so had to slow down dramatically when filtering (I HATE filtering, scary!).

Again, if it wasn't for cars, that would have been a pb for the trip, alas.

2000 miles up this year.ahead of last year on many levels. However I feel I am starting to plateau. I think I need to work on my power on the flatter sections. Some of my mates are much stronger on those bits. Need to do some research on what training techniques will improve that aspect.

Has anyone had a bike fit at Sigma Sports before? my friend bought me a bike fit for my birthday and i was wondering if its a good place to have it or perhaps an alternative recommendation?

I bought my bike from there, they gave me a pre fit (measurements taken for free) I think they will be fine
I went to Milton Keynes and used a Retul one expensive, but well worth it

Yeah, the car things always frustrates me too :)

I went on a quick after-work ride with a friend today but we were both absolutely knackered and cycling on a horrible route so it was possibly the slowest ride I've done in some time :p It was still fun though and I guess the bright side of being really tired/slow is that the ride took a little longer than it should have done. Pavé Battle of June actually completing, here I come... :p

Riding a conventional geared bike with freewheel and two brakes for my commute tomorrow. This will be the first time since February last year. Riding it round the block felt odd to say the least, really strange after riding fixed gear for so long.

I wasn't planning on going out this evening, but I got a call on the train home at 6:45pm from my neighbour saying he was going out with a few guys. By 7:30pm I was home, full of tea and on the bike :D

A bit of a mixed bag, really. The odd PR and 2nd and 3rd best effort, and then some other bits where I'm way off my usual pace. We did our local cat 3, but we all took it really slowly as we had one guy who's not ridden for weeks so is way off form and one guy who's only 2 months into riding a road bike, so the fact that he made it up at all, and on a 26t sprocket is good going. I've done that climb 7 times this year. I'm aiming to do it 12 times, ideally once each month, so I've got one in the bank now in case December is shocking.

Slipped on the buy it button for a stages power meter today, I'm in so much trouble with her indoors :D

lol. I slipped on the buy it button for a pair of Assos S7's the other day. Thankfully they are so padded when she kicks me in the nutts for spending so much on a pair of bibs i wont feel a thing :)

I best make sure i have them on when she finds out about the Enve 6.7's as well :D

Does anyone have any elite maxicorsa bottles? The 950ml ones? How tall are they? There's not much point buying two if I'm going to struggle to fit one in my seat tube cage.

Ok nom nom.

100 nerd points for however can spot my rookie mistake though.

Edit:saddle angle looks crazy there, but it's just an odd perspective, it's slightly nose down, but looks like its kamikaze in the photo!

Ignoring the kamikaze seat that looks lovely! Might be a perspective thing too but it looks like the rear brakepad would be missing the rim by a little bit. Aside from that, can't spot anything.

My wife isn't buying me a birthday present this year to help me save for next year's Cervelo purchase. They're not all bad!

A pair of Vittoria Paves with the green tread would set that bike off a treat (I know coloured tyres aren't cool, but Paves are ridden by the pros so it's OK allegedly).
