** BEWARE OF THE DEVIL!! **

looks awesome card but in usa i seen 290s for 210 new so it makes no sense price wise.

also i think we due a nice price drop on 290s soon.

It is more expensive, slower, and will look ghastly with its stupid AIO cooler.

Why?

Simple, its quiet. The devil card kicks up a hell of a racket, 66.7db worst case in turbo mode according to that and at best its only a handful of fps faster. Couldn't care how the card looks if the cooler does its job and does it quietly then theres not much more you can ask for regardless of how its achieved.

Fair enough. :)

R9 290 x2? You mean R9 295 x2 right? In the title btw.

Nope, Powercolor actually refused to use the 295X2 name due to the stupidity of it lol*. The card is just called a dual core 290X or a 290X X2 depending on which one of their pages you read.

*The stupidity being that dual GPU cards have always either had a number higher than the base card (I.E 7990, 6990, GTX295, GTX690) or a multiplied number of the base card (I.E 4870X2, 3870X2, 9800GX2) not both, that's just stupid. And of course the have been the occasional dual GPU card which has just had a nonsense name lol (I.E Gigabyte 3D1, ATi Rage Fury MAXX).

Good on them lol, thanks for correcting me :)

Powercolor might have made it more confusing now with making another number up though.

i will stick to my all in one water cooling version thank you very much :)
not only is it quieter and only 2 slots and requires less power..
and does not look like huge brick in your pc taking up all your slots lol

also the only difference in the 1-2fps over the stock version is the memory is overclocked slightly higher, i can kill those memory speeds with my AIO when overclocked lol

I should be so lucky. I expect frosty has one though the lucky swine. :p

Is something like that actually appealing or are you just messing? I don't really understand why anyone would want their card signed by one of the company's higher ups, it just seems like its on another level of dumb beyond stuff signed by game players (Fatal1ty yo!) or something to me.

Anyone know if this card has the same reduced throttling temp as the reference card? I would assume it wouldn't need the extra safety due to no AIO so if so that would give it better over-clocking potential no?
