The *Official* Eve Online Thread

Group with some people and mess around in lowsec would be my advice. Nullsec can sometimes be a bit of hassle sometimes if you are not with the right crowd. Highsec well it needs a little more Pssshhh!

A good thing to do is just pick a destination null/lowsec - get a frigate and see if you can get there. Look up great starter corps like OUCH who will offer you a more interesting look at the game than say Eve Uni (imo they do anyway I was involved with them a few years back). http://ouch.artofwar-alliance.com/

Missing EVE too...Not played for about 3-4 years.

Anyone got room in corp for an old vet??

Ex VentureCorp[VNTR], IRON combat pilot.

Semi self sufficient back then. Maxed on everything pew pew! Well 90m SP last time I logged.

Happy to be interviewed in usual way... Just missing the old days. PM me.

Got an email the other day and saw my avatar had changed. Looks brilliant now, I don't know what I was thinking when I first created it as it was awful!

Some rather mixed responses to the w-space changes.

One thing that always amazes me with titan and super losses is how often they die without any kind of support or backup plan to hand even when used by bigger entities that could do that - not that I've any intention of flying a super any time soon but I have backup widow (black ops) and suicide triage alts that if I was moving one around lowsec would be straight in there to try and jam out initial tackle.

You would like to think that if you made such a mistake people would jump through also and help you. But if they were bridging sub caps there might not be a capital fleet available. I have lost a dread trying to save my friends carrier. Depending whats on the otherside it might just be a case of minimising losses. Looks like there was a capital fleet in system.

I can't comment on the Wspace changes. Not been there in a long time.

Could I get a recall PM'd to me? Toying with the idea of jumping back in, especially after the industrial changes. Been a year or two since I played. :)

chat channel OcUK,

not really any ocuk corps anymore and you're best finding a corp that suits your intersts as it will help nurture you and guide you in the right direction.

Get over the fact that you die and lose stuff. It happens to everyone on a regular basis. Get out of highsec, get over the fear. have fun. dive into everything.

Find people with similar interests. Dont spend your entire life running L4 missions in a blinged out faction BS in highsec.

Get involved, watch the alliance tournament, read the mittani, and eve news 24 (both opposite bias)

Listen to eve podcasts, read forums and such.

Its all good stuff.
