* Don't blame me if some of the times are wrong!

The tour will be coming through my hometown Huddersfield on Sunday but I'm 7 hours drive away in Kinloss, Scotland :( Considering coming back for the weekend but its a 7 hour journey each way

Yep, Garmin just posted their team selection on facebook:
Andrew Talansky
Ben King
Alex Howes
Janier Acevedo
Jack Bauer
Sebastian Langeveld
Ramunas Navardauskas
Tom SIagter
Johan Vansummeren

Tempted to take a walk into town on Sunday, I'll see what the weather is like first, and if I can be bothered to push through crowds. :D

I've just come back from riding stages 1 and most of stage 2. I don't think stage 1 will be won by one of the big sprinters, the final mile is too undulating to maintain pace. How stage 2 is defined as flat is beyond me. We rode 20 miles from York to Harrogate (which is a completely pointless stretch of road to use on the Tour) and drove from Harrogate to Haworth to begin the more interesting parts.

Stage 2 climbs Holme Moss, so no, it's blatantly not flat!! Unless you mean the finish?

Stage 2 climbs Holme Moss, so no, it's blatantly not flat!!

You need to remember that these classifications are for the entire route. The climbs might be fairly large bumps in this country but when you compare them to the Apls/Pyrenees, they are laughably small.

For example, the combined total of all the climbs you did on your 80-mile stage2 route is still less than the single climb up the Tourmalet.

Pretty annoyed to be working this weekend (in Leeds city centre -_-) as I live right on the route, pretty much. It'll be sweeping past my front door and I'll be sat in the frickin' office!

Nice to see that ITV are giving Le Grand Départ some love with extended hours and on ITV1. Can't wait for it to get started.
