Plan to get two of them want the temps nice and cool if possible and the highest O/C i can get.....

What should I choose seems like so many options !

Only ever hear good things about the Vapor-x & Tri-x, all there reviews are good as well but I think I would be inclined to go with the MSI lightning. A major factor for me when buying a GPU is colour as I have a themed build.
 
my choice would be between the sapphire tri x and the vapor non x cards, the tri x for price and the vapor would suit the colour scheme of my pc
 
I just got 2 vapor-x 290s. If i were going for the x version id still get the vapor-x - although i cant review them yet, i heard lots of good things. I have high hopes :)
 
just had a look at the sappihre cards on ocuk and thinking a bit more on it i would go for the tri x, the 290 tri x is £60 cheaper than the vapor and the 290x tri x is only £20 more

Op i know someone with the tri-x and they love it, i think either are great cards. Sapphire are pretty good. Def worth considering imho.

I feel your pain friend :(, got the rest of my watercooling stuff turning up today, stuck in the office until 4:30 and can't wait to get home.

Had a quick go at putting the gpu block and backplate on my 290X yesterday, just to see how it would look.... stunning:D
 
In this order

1, MSI Radeon R9 290X Lightning Edition

2, Sapphire Radeon R9 290X Vapor-X

3, Asus Radeon R9 290X ROG Matrix

4, Powercolor Radeon R9 290X PCS+

5, Sapphire Radeon R9 290X Tri-X
