What have you done to your car today?

Not today at the end of last month I put it on SORN, Only using my Bike at the mo so I'm taking advantage of skipping a month so My next Tax isn't due on the 31st of December like last year. Xmas Tax & NYE needs to be minus the Tax so next year my tax will be due end of January, Much more civilised.

Now confirmed, skipped some teeth

There should be a bolt in that hole, unfortunately it came loose, interfering and breaking the crank pulley and caused fragments of belt/case to get under the cam belt.

said mangled bolt

Ditched the middle box, dumb thing kept catching on the ground all the while, and was blowing. Now have better ground clearance and much more noise. Measured at 114dB with the bung in lol :D

Turning out to be an expensive month for me, stainless cat back put on yesterday, insurance sorted today, new rear tyres and mot Thursday, gearbox rebuild (love the m32 box) Friday. Thank god for the cc to spread some of it over the next couple months. Should really learn to time it so not everything is due in June and July.

Bet your neighbours love that! :D

Ermm.....

With the pipe open it is totally obscene tbh but bunged it doesn't sound anything like as noisy as 114dB would suggest. I can however drive over uneven ground without mashing it up.

That exhaust looks....low. Does the aftermarket pipe follow the stock exhaust routing under the car, surely the standard system doesn't sit quite that low? I know your car is lowered but its not exactly slammed, the stock ground clearance must be pretty poor if thats the way the exhaust goes.

Are you planning on changing it eventually, be too loud for most track days that?

Washed and waxed the prelude. Never doing that again - 17 years of chips and scratches are now painfully obvious!

Also decided to check how the rust on the back box was progressing and pushed my thumb right through in two places, so new one ordered. Was supposed to be sorting out the sticky rear calipers next but that'll have to wait now :/

You must have all the speed bumps mapped out with that hanging so low! :)

I was planning on putting new discs on the front of my Celica after treating it to four new corners of rubber but have noticed a slight knock on my front right lately, whacked the car on the drive earlier and lifted it up to find the front right disc wobbles in the carrier, as in there's nothing through it like on the left hand side holding it to the hub. Find this odd and am I right to assume its the knock I'm hearing? it only happens under breaking so I assume it's the disc moving?

Finally got set of folding mirrors fitted to the ST yesterday plus some logo lights on bottom of the doorpad powered off puddle lamp circuit.

One of those simple enough jobs to do with lots of info on the web, but with various bits of faffing to do it for the first time, and taking care doing a proper neat job, ended up taking me all afternoon & evening too
