New 295x2 and PSU problems

Its running 14.4 right now, no crashing but there is stuttering while benching. Last time i tried 14.6 i had a whole load of problems like no screen signal at all, then it defaulted to low res and said i had no drivers, so i just cleaned them out and stuck with 14.4.

I was looking at where is said what GPU im using on that heaven score, is the intel HD graphics supposed to be on there? I know its supposed to show up as 2x R9 200 Series but it only showes as having 4gb of memory there too.

Ended up with this after heaven, i watched the overlay and both gpu's usage was going between 85-100% with temps reaching 64ish degrees on both chips and afterburner shows the same, also the crossfire image in the top right was there.

That looks ok to me. One thing you can do it set power limit to +50%. Play some games and see how they perform and let us know.

Play some games and see, that's just a synthetic benchmark. Are you going to sit there watching Unigine all day or are you going to play some cutting edge games? :)

the 4gb is normal yeh, and the intel hd bit, just means its not disabled

when running that benchmark you are looking for horizontal lines or messed up triangles
if you not seeing them u usually good

14.6 has crashed on me too, try this driver cleaner next time it fixed it for me

It has a H100i on it right now, was gonna be overclocking in the future but I wanted to wait till this problem was sorted :p
 
I had trouble with installing 14.6 too with my R9 295X2. Took a couple of goes but all seems to be fine. Getting the kinda 3d mark score I expected off this (ie 2x my 290x score). Haven't tried Heaven yet, will do this weekend and let you know what I get.

Ive actually just tried out some games other than watch dogs now that i've got around to installing them and i must say its performing amazingly :D
 
Ran the benchmark this morning and only got a score of around 900 and it was jerky like crazy. In games its being working well and 3d mark gives me the right figures so tempted to chalk up the low score in Heaven to driver issue in crossfire.
