She needs to be stopped!!!

I wonder if anybody elses opinion has changed since the opening post like I have?
After reading a few articles I now realise these big game hunters are the ones responsible for these animals not becoming extinct.

No because the cute little kitty gets hurt. I joke, but I think that is the real problem people have. They don't comprehend the bigger picture and don't understand the complex issues there. They just see a shocking photo of a girl sat on a dead lion, then spout obscenities. It's most amusing on FB with everyone jumping on the hate wagon all eager to chip in their opinion and condemn the actions. Fact of the matter is, I bet barely any of them chipped in with any actual support to conserve these animals, ever! It's just a reaction to a shocking message, a reaction for people to feel better about themselves that they said something "that ***** needs shooting herself", "I'm posting myself without makeup to raise awareness", "etc BS"!

i don't like that she kills these glorious animals and I'd rather her just offer up a load of money to conservation without doing it. However, she's doing more good for these places than I or you ever could, so I can accept it. She enjoys it, that's not any if my business, but her actions bring about some good, and that's what matters really.

So were these animals shot on a properly managed reserve and she paid to do so them to do so?

Pretty much, and charged a killing for the privilege. It's not 'real' hunting, as most of the time the animals are setup for the 'hunters' lol.

Without them, a lot of these animals would have been long extinct. Louis Theroux did a film about it a while back.

They should allow these hunters to hunt the poachers

Ah OK. So because we're doing less damage than say, a meteor strike, or another ice age, we really don't need to concern ourselves with the "trivial" damage that we are capable of.

OK, I feel much better now. Let's get huntin' and killin'.

no what you need to understand is we're not doing any "damage" at all.
all we're doing is slightly changing the conditions, like a beaver building a dam.

trying to hold the earth in a fixed state would be the most unnatural thing we could do (and more than likely the most disastrous) it's always been changing.

Just because an animal does something, I don't believe that gives us carte blanche to blindly follow in their footsteps. We make the assumption that most animals cannot rationalise in the way that a human can. It comes down to the whole "with power comes responsibility" - if we are to have the ability to rationalise so as to act in novel ways, we should also use our rationalisation abilities to consider the potential extent of the damage that we may do.

The fact is, we don't actually know what the damage we might end up doing to the ecosystem is. You can speculate about how impotent these actions are all you like, but brazen confidence is no match for the counter intuitive way in which nature can work. Consider the possibility that we did hunt lions to extinction, and then the gazelle population increased. There is a finite amount of resources that the gazelle can consume and they recover at a set rate. The lions hunt the gazelles which reduces their population. The lions stop hunting them and so the population increases at a rate at which the population starts consuming more resources than the recovery rate of that resource can sustain. At some point the gazelles have consumed all of that resource and have nothing to eat and so starve to death. At this point they are at risk of extinction. Then imagine the same is true of the plant they eat, the ecosystem it supports and so on... There's no way of telling!

Vile selfish human-being who is clearly devoid of any love, compassion and empathy.
If everyone decided to do what she is doing then a whole host of stunningly beautiful and magical creatures would become extinct, denying future generations the privilege of seeing them.

I hope here gun jams and she has her arms chewed off :mad:

acvtually if everyone decided to do what she ws doing all of the endangered species would be brought back from the brink and would be around in massive numbers again.

I just can't imagine this girl can kill a Lion with a bow humanely. Animal cruelty is wrong no matter how much you pay to do it and no matter how much 'good' it does.

If she has to kill animals for fun then she should at least keep it to herself rather than posting the pics on social media to get attention. Not the brightest thing to do when it's common knowledge where she goes to school, especially in a state where people are allowed to walk around with assault rifles slung on their shoulder lol.

So you're saying you lost the argument as you had to bring up hitler because you had no real point?

fair enough at least you're decent enough to call your self out on your failings.

so what exactly makes you think she has a prissy narssisitic attitude?

as a quick read of her face book is basically

<post about conservation>

<post about how humbling or enjoyable she finds a new culture>

<post about conservation>

<conservation>

<different culture>

All of course with thousands of people calling her evil and not really reading anything.

wheres the narcissism?

she didn't use a bow on the lion as the ranges have minimum caliber rules etc.

the bow will be for NA hunting back home.

in her state people probably arnt thinking bad of her. and lets face it shes probably a way way better shot than any massively misinformed idiot who doesn't understand that shes helped save more animals than all the people in all the nasty Facebook comments about her put together.
