Really not sure Zaha will ever make it at Utd even under a more generous manager (in regards to letting young players through) like LvG

I guess next season will prove one way or the other ( if the window doesnt lol)

I think Liverpool are in a very difficult position.

The only reason they did so well last year was becuase of Suarez. Sell him even for £70-80 million, may still constitute a step back for them.

This is exactly why Barcelona want to BUY him. Top teams should look to keep hold of their top players not sell them.

I doubt Liverpool need the cash injection from Barca to buy, so they dont need to sell and they shouldnt if they still dream of winning the title next year.

Its going to be a 30 + game tussle between Arsenal, Liverpool and Utd as to who get the remaining two CL spots (and it may well come down to who keeps their 1st XI fittest, and how the squad copes with injuries/ rest games for the major stars)

One reason was Suarez but Sturridge, Henderson, Sterling, Gerrard and Coutinho all played a massive part. Take off Suarez's goals and off the top of my head we would have scored 1 less than Chelsea. Yes he had assists etc but you assume with the 80mil they will get for him then you can replace him and add more to the depth of the team.

You also conceeded twice as many as Chelsea, so without his goals your points would go down a lot more rapidly

Well yes however with his sale and the inevitable signing of Lovren and Bertrand you'd expect that figure to drop.

Not that Bertrand is all that.... He'd allow Flanni Alves to play RB instead of Johnson.

Im suprised why Barca would want to sell Sanchez anyway. According to Wiki he got: 19 goals 10 assists in 34 league games last season.

He's record for Barca is a goal every 2 games. (ish - 88 played 39 goals)

Sanchez ould be a better signing than Balotelli I reckon. Although I was happy for Arsenal to be linked, I was worried by his bad boy reputation. He would unbalance the team by being the biggest ego at the club. And get him self sent off far to offten.

They don't have any money.
And not a lot of other assists they can sell, they need to raise fund to buy their shiny new toy.

Can't say I've watched a huge amount of Markovic but for what I've read and heard it appears as if the general opinion is that £20-25m is a bit of a bargain. Hopefully that proves to be the case.

The Origi deal looks like being tied up in the coming days too. We just need a CB, a LB or 2, a first team ready striker and maybe another winger/forward and we are sorted :/

Dude must be tiny. According to Google he weighs only 60kg!

Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Emre Can.

40million on this lot?

I guess they do need to sell Suarez after all, after spending all this on those three.

Brendan Rodgers the new David Moyes? Yes please!! He'll be sacked at this rate!

:p

The only one you could argue that Liverpool have over paid with is Lallana but it's still a solid signing. Can looks a good young talent and Lambert is a good back up forward who cost next to nothing.

The signings are to fill spaces and to add to the team, not just random individuals bought without any thought whatsoever like on football manager.

Nothing like Spurs.

Haven't touched the Suarez money yet ;)
