Rolf Harris arrested on sexual charges

It could just be a case that sexual perversion is significantly more common than people think, meaning a statistically large percentage of young children will come into contact with this (via family/friends of family or teachers).

I mean, at least three teachers were sacked from my school for having relationships with children over the five years I was there (while this obviously is anecdotal, it does give me personal cause to think it may be more common).

Two in the five I was at mine with one female teacher escaping punishment when she should have been sacked too. All of the ones at mine can be read about in newspapers.
 
So Vanessa Feltz makes claims she was assaulted by Rolf Harris this morning and on the same day has a freak out that people are being nasty about her on social media. Perhaps, Vanessa, that is because you are known for one thing, being mouthy and outspoken - if this is true it could've been very useful, y'know, in the past year rather than just after he's jailed. So much about this case and the theatre around it is just bizarre!

Feeling very disappointed and angry that so many TV characters during my childhood.. Gary Glitter, Jimmy Saville, Stuart Hall etc who had such an influence on an entire generation, used their status for their own personal disgusting crusades.

But none more so than Rolf.. I used to love him as a kid. It's upsetting to see that he has let down so many people that trusted his eccentric yet buoyant personality.

Trust? trust who? celebrities?

Why on earth would you trust one of them? Unless of course you know them personally (highly unlikely) or have met them in a closed environment (again unlikely). They are paid entertainers, try and detach from it becoming personal.

It's a bit like the grief tourism, i've never understood that either.

I'd trust my kids* with that nice man, you know that Ian Watkins. Looks like a well respected young man, loads of talent. He was in a band Y'Know? :D




*Quick note, you'll be happy to know it's next to impossible for me to have kids :p

Same can be said for teachers can it not? Most kids spend almost all year with their teachers before their parents even meet them. Even then it is only for a few minutes.

So, how long before Lol[it]a from Eastenders (0:51) claims she was 'touched up' by Rolf too?
