Super Southern Meet IX - 5th July 2014

Thats ok, I upset the horsey people on my way out before you guys went passed anyway (and I was driving a distinctly bland family wagon and well under the speed limit). She pulled her horse out in front of me and was waving her hands away. Silly bint.

We got a quick "thank you" wave and, as we were the last cars to go past, she can't have been too annoyed. We didn't get any "abuse" from the stagdo group either but heard Booner get quite a bit :D

Yeah I got 'Where's your bmw?' abuse when we left :p

Absolutely love smashing it through the gears on those roads though. Chasing the 350z reminded me how quick the MPS is (and how much rubber it can get through :p). Good fun all round I think.

Nice cruise back up the M3 with the Jag and 330ci also.

I am now actually looking at getting a Gen 1 MPS. After riding in yours mate.

Yeah I heard them saying stuff so that's why I drowned them out with the exhaust... before I knew about the horses, so went round the corner and was a like... ahhhh whoops haha

You guys weren't seriously revving car engines in-front of horses were you?

Nobody on purpose, the road was single track with hedge rows with a 180 degree turn out the car park, so most didn't know they were there until they had got out.

And just to add that once the first one or two were out of the car park and stopped by the horses and other cars 100m or so up the road, the other 20 odd cars in the convoy couldn't do more than walking speed until everyone was well past the obstructions.

I didn't see anybody do anything but drive past the horses slowly and quietly (well, with Booner trying his best to be quiet anyway...) and I didn't see the horse riders do anything other than wave thanks!

HAHA, they were pretty good, how was the Steak? If I have a free weekend, I may do one mid September if there is enough interest, but it's obviously only a couple of months away, and don't want to make them too regular as they lose their appeal imo.

As good as any £14 rump steak is going to be. I'd be up for mid sept.

It was impossible to go any quicker than 15/20 as you can't tell if there's anything coming the other way. Hampshire is full of silly single track roads.
