I'd rather go without one tbh :p. Not really into the whole split bounty farming thing though I do see the appeal.

just do it with people in the clan mate, theres always people willing to split bounties, if only for the rift keys if nothin else.

Im tryin to get the RROG on my WD at the moment but no luck so far. Bloody thing dropped aftera few runs on my crusader, always the way

I've supplied gear to OcUKers who i've grouped with - it's a good way to share stuff and get items. Many other clan members do it too.

Often you can get a bulk of common items and weapons, so you'll only salvage them. Might as well get them used. Plus, makes more inventory space for the super rares that are just waiting to be found :D

Just to be clear on RoRG farming. Running act1 bounties on normal difficulty will give you no worse stats than running them on T6 difficulty?

So thereffore it's better just to run as much as possible to get as much caches as possible rather than running harder difficulty for a ring with better stats?

Do all you higher T4/5/6 capable guys just run Act1 on easiest difficulty possible so you can blast through it quickly and get caches more quickly?

Chance is higher on higher torments but you have to balance it with how quickly you're able to do the bounties as well.

My WD has 1,167,000 damage unbuffed (more when I get going with Soul Harvest and Gruesome Feast) so T4 elites die fast enough for me to not bother dropping. T3 is obviously a bit quicker but anything under T3 is really just as quick as each other as they all die in seconds. Don't have a dot or pet build: I spam poison darts rotating with acid cloud / piranhahs so I'm not even that efficient really compared to what I could be.

I don't really notice higher chance going up the torments, I've had 6 legs drop in a T1 rift and 6 in a T6, seems to make little difference. T2 split farming is the way to go as you can also get set items and it's incredibly fast. 12+ caches an hour in a fast group.

I didn't notice anything from T1-T3 but T4 I definitely did. Could just be coincidence though :D.

As I mentioned above I'm not really that interested in split farming... if I don't get what I want I'll turn it off and try again another time. I play with a couple of mates most of the time but happy to chug it solo too. If I don't get the RoRG soon I'll just give up :D.

as far as i remember doesnt the difficulty only apply to the exclusive legs which can drop from T1-T6, for farming RROG just pick the option which is quickest for ya.

For me i still like a nice bit fo xp so ill do it on T1 at least.

Thanks for the information guys :)

I only hit 70 on my Wiz so I have rubbish gear and can't even manage T1 yet. It was more so to see if a RRoG dropped on Expert or something would have worse stats than one dropped on T6. But if stats are not affected and it is just drop rate, then this clears things up for me. I honestly thought that was the case but knew you guys would know for sure. So ta :)

Just an increased chance.

There's a deal of conspiracy theories about item drops floating around.

Some believe that Blizzard have a 'luck timer' that determines how often, and how voluminous legendary drops will be for you.

Blizzard themselves have apparently stated that if a player is bereft of legendaries for a set time, the game will force a drop of a legendary.

Within the clan, many members prefer to solo as they feel they get more legendaries this way, as when they group, they get none/few.

Myself, I have found that I played a proper session on Sunday (about 10hrs) doing rift groups and cache groups all day. The drop rate was typically 3-4 legendaries every 2nd rift. With one rift giving nothing. This was on T4-T6.

T1-3 my drop rate is about 1-2 every 2nd rift.

My first rift of the day is usually fruitless.

I am quite sick of getting the same old items though, despite playing on even harder difficulties, getting 2 more Tyrael's Might instead of 1 is hardly awesome. I'm about Paragon 220 now, and still have had no Magefist or Cindercoat drop yet!

Can't even begin to consider what the wait for a Calamity, Kridershot or other super rares for other chars will be like...

I actually think my luck is better in groups, maybe its a side effect of the runs being quicker that your clearing content faster so in turn more likely to see drops.

Im not sure about bad luck protection but theres definately an increased drop rate when you have been offline for some time.

I almost always notice legendaries in the first play session after i havent played a particular toon for a while.

that's all down to luck.

my rarest find was a shard of hate last week. apart from that no thunderfury, wand of woe, cindercoat,...list goes on forever ;)

while my friend is overloaded with INT thunderfuries

I had a thunderfury drop in the pull that I dinged max level..... of course it dropped when I was 69 and not 70 so I was well and truly miffed.

Interesting how less relevant your toughness becomes once you get decent attack speed and DPS. My WD is now running MoJ/TaT/SoJ/TMF and melting through T5. My toughness is only 4.8m, with 15k healing. On some combos I feel squishy, but generally it's a walk in the park. First time I've seen a real equilibrium hit between the DPS-faster and stack-health arguments for staying alive.

T5 and T6 have this absolute glut of what I class as the 'ultimate death' combination on Champions and Elites.

Without Kulle's Aid, a 3-5 Champion pack can get you penned in, allowing for any AOE/DOT to kill you.

The biggest ones however are the Cold Pulse/Frozen that start doing ridiculous damage instantly. You often don't get to see it due to other graphical effects, or even on water maps (A5 jungle maps).
Tying these together with a Knockback or Vortex and the 0.5-1sec of stunned time worth of damage is usually enough to kill you.

Pretty much all other ones are avoidable - but stick in a stun from knockback or vortex and you will be looking at the respawn screen!

I'm quite surprised by T6 though - even some of our most well-equipped clan members are getting levelled to the ground on this difficulty. Doesn't bode well for weaker characters like my DH!

My Monk has 3 times your toughness and probably 2 times your elemental elite dps, yet without unity she still dies often on T5.

There is no equilibrium. The only reason you think there may be one is because you have pets to tank and kill for you, while you concentrate on clicking weapon racks, opening chests or watching a movie on the second screen. :D
