*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Just fired Wolfenstein up today and wow, awesome game, it harks back to the days when single player experiences were the priority.

The graphics are also, coming from an ex-PC gamer, pretty damn good... and not a hint of slowdown to be seen, it's all smooth as a babies bum. I'm even starting to get used to using a controller for shooting things with! :)

i have to admit as a PC gamer as my primary platform ive been very impressed with my PS4 so far. Only have Infamous and MotoGP14 however the graphical quality really impresses me. Maybe its the fact im sitting on my couch playing from a few feet away rather than a few inches, maybe its being on a good gaming tv, i dunno but i dont get all the Pc gamer snobbery that comes with buying a console.

From my point of view i now have two platforms to enjoy games, some ill buy on PC, some ill buy on console, they are not competing with each other as each platform will cater to different game styles.

I dont get all the fuss, very impressed with my PS4 so far and cant wait to play last of us for the first time when its released for ps4 :)

You're in for a treat, fantastic game.. I also can't wait to play it again!

Yeah, me too. I only rented it on PS3 and looking back probably rushed through some bits (due to some squeaky bottom scenes) so now I want to explore every nook and cranny for all the collectibles.

My American account has just been suspended from looking at my friends list as I accepted too many friend requests in a short space of time. :p

It was between either upgrading my gfx card (GTX 570) or buying a PS4. I decided to go down the console route and wait for Nvidia to release some specs on the new cards. PC gaming support seems to be taking a back seat for the mean time in my eyes with the consoles running the triple A games just as well as high end pc's.

That's all relative. I wouldn't say the PS4 run games better than a high end PC at all, most of the time.

Most of them remain 1080p/30 tbh.

I just prefer PS4 gaming lately because of the hassles i've had. Watch Dogs has seriously made me reconsider.

Can i ask for some advice guys
Had my ps4 for a fortnight now, when playing a psn game where no disc is needed like child of light, valiant hearts etc the ps4 is near silent
But when playing any game disc based its like is spinning all the time
This video is while im playing Tomb Raider

Is this normal, or do i have a faulty drive?

Some games are noisier, but sounds more like cooling going mad to me. Hard to tell.

Honestly not sure if there is a fault judging by that vid.

So after getting into Wolfienstien on PS4 this week I must say I am really enjoying the console.

42" Plasma, 5.1 steroe system and a lazyboyesq chair is amazing.

Why did I not turn my ps4 on for months?
