Really? Wow. Most have been in this thread, it's just some very exciting news for the AMD folk. :) :D

EDIT

How did you find that out?

Rusty, could you pop this "perfoverlay.framefilelogenable 1" into the command console at the start of an online game bud? 64player conquest or something if you can.

Use "perfoverlay.framefilelogenable 0" when the game finishes and pop the results on here?

Matt what's the name of that program to look at frametimes bud?

I'll do the same afterwards and we can compare the differences.

No vsync or framelimit here, i'm at 1080P Rusty, max settings.

I can't really be bothered mate. I'm not really that into benchmarking to be honest but I'm sure somebody else will take you up on your offer.

i say this is good news, few games on there i'll be looking forward to.

still wonder why civ wants mantle though, not exactly graphically intensive [based off civ5 at least]

Civ wants mantle because of the CPU overhead gains.
And a game that's graphically demanding probably wants Mantle less.

Mantle doesn't need to justify its existence in performance gains.

having an API that doesnt need hardware manuf Driver update to optimise performance, but rather comes optimised out of the box from the devs, to me this is even bigger than multi cpu scalling, and overhead

That has yet to be properly proven properly yet though, so far I'm finding it no different to DX in terms of optimising at developers end with drivers.

Of course it may change in the future though as Mantle does exactly as it's meant to, but for now it doesn't, and that isn't a negative.

Yeah, PR's never good for evidence, just look at RTW2!

It'll be X, Y and Z they say.

Well how about none of that, and take an S.

Whatever you make of it they give you a reason.

Which is more than just sitting there saying "i don't see why it needs Mantle, it doesn't need Mantle"

If to you anything contributed in answering that is "just PR" then frankly your beyond reason.
