What have you done to your car today?

Cars sounding poorly -.- after going down the M2 i heard a huge bang and now i have an exhaust thats split in the middle the union and back box -.-

Well yesterday to my B6 Passat 2.0 TDI to AMD tuning and had a few things done to it. Miltek catback, remap and some B14 coilover. And the car is now so much fun to drive. Can't wait for it to be dry so i can give the car a proper go. Insurance even went down by 4p a month after adding the mods.

Wrote up the FS advert but don't expect it to go for a while :(

Onwards and upwards

What car do you have? :)

I'm not sure how I'm going to sell my car... I know it is worth more than almost all equivalent models out there, simply because everything has gone wrong and is now brand new. :p But it is a high miler, and isn't in fantastic condition (probably average)

Do I advertise it for what I think it is worth and wait months, gradually reducing the price and waiting more months, and so on, or do I price it to sell and shift it quickly... Decisions decisions...

It's an E46 330ci Clubsport - it's nothing special but I'm gonna put it up at the upper end of the pricing scale considering it's had a ton of work done to it and shouldn't need anything for a fair while. If it doesn't sell, I'll lower it slightly but I'm in absolutely no hurry to get rid and won't take peanuts for it. Worst case scenario, I'll just run it into the ground :)

If only you had decided to get rid in about 7 - 8 months. I might have had it off you. :p

P/X for a Polo? People like a Polo.

:D

Was it somewhere completely ridiculous like in the fridge? :p

Fitted my new rear wiper...

Well I'd had my front strut brace off for respraying and I'd used my bench grinder's wire brush to sand it down quickly, I think the vibrations moved the keys across the desk and caused it to drop down the back and behind the tumble dryer below it :D

:p

There'll be a million others come up by then I wouldn't worry too much :) I'm putting it up for silly money at the moment as I'm a little half hearted in selling it. I really want an M5 next but finding a good one is hard so I'm expecting it to be a long drawn out process.

Damn, happened to that Tyre man? Looks like it had a good but of life left in it as well :(

When Jean Pierre the Frenchman fitted them, he didn't seal that one on the rim properly and it caused it to go down and I didn't notice until when I did it had caused a bubble in the inner sidewall, which led to that. Since they've had less than 1000km on, it's a bit annoying.

Have a new one to go on on tuesday though.

Yours seems attractive to me because you commented on the fact that it has had lots of work done and shouldn't need anything doing for a while - when you weren't trying to sell it to me. So it means a-lot more and is likely to be more accurate. :p

Tom what you think it's worth and what it's actually worth are not the same, you're gunna loose money on that car due to the idiot that bought it without checking it out -_-

My intentions are to go from standard 86hp Fabia to Octavia vRS :p

It is worth about £1400, I know that. But I will try my luck at £1500 or £1600 and be open to acceptable offers. If I wanted to shift it super quick I would advertise it for £1000.

Polo to 330. Seems legit. :P

Perfectly legit good sir. I fully intend on doubling my cylinder count with my next car if possible. :p

Of course, the 330 isn't the only car I've considered, and I have looked at some 4 and 5 pots as well.

I was put off the E46's because of the possibility of immediate sky-high bills.

I wouldn't say sky-high, just big enough and often enough that you wake up and think FML on a regular basis :p

Plus I hate knowing there's something that isn't quite ready for replacement but will need changing so I often end up spending a small fortune on getting everything that's not quite right ASAP.

It's a labour of love though, its a rewarding car to drive (despite mine being auto) and is quick enough for 99% of the time, though it's no point to point racer. I've done runs to Newcastle (450ish miles) and back and got out on either end feeling refreshed, rather than worn out with a bad back/leg/etc lol.
