I do think it is pointless to question the purchase AFTER it has been bought. Not only because it is paid for already, and also because you don't know the OP's exact circumstances, intent of desire, and it is not your money anyway so there really is no point "having a go" at someone buying something that you don't agree with.

This needs to be made into a large banner and placed at the top of the Motors section! There are a few choice arrogant, over-opinionated individuals who can't seem to do anything but troll members' purchases.

I also bought some plastikote black paint as my roofbox was beige and no one likes beige.

It's now BLACK! Black on black.

And some more books. I like books like this, they're great reads.

I buy the same air, good price. ;)

I really hope it's not a sign of things to come, I really enjoy the banter and on/off topic discussions between peoples purchases, think we all enjoy it.

And am still waiting for my delivery, was expecting it this morning.

I hope so too, this thread has been good so far, all be it with a few problematic posts :D. also to balance things out in the commenting about your purchases

anime FTW!!!:cool::D

Currently having my wheels refurbished so bought some cleaning products, for when they return :-)

Pantsu Witches!

So a other posting, is it too soon? :p

I will deem this post, semi safe for work, as it's something in between. ;)

Look at the size of this parcel, it's big! I haven't had one this size for ages, I prefer them small. :p

Opening her up now and there she is! I haven't had a new model figure since the start of the year, funny enough, it was also a Strike Witch figure that some of you may remember and if you can't, here is the other one.

After a few minutes of working out how to position her correctly and get her weapon in her hand which had me scratching my head for a moment or two, I thought maybe her grip can come off and it did! A minute later and with some muscle work, finally slotted it together. :p

Close up shot. The level of detail and build quality is high as expected from a Alter figure. You won't find any better then this, especially love how good her weapon is.

A lot of these figures have hand painted parts where the machines can't do their thing, so you have to admire the work of the labors who do it. ;)

Had to a "under" angle type of shot, it's to be expected. :D

So now to explain her!

She is Francesca Lucchini from the series Strike Witches

The series is based upon events of World War 2 but instead of fighting the Axis powers, these Aliens invade the Earth instead, it's also a Earth where witches are real and as such are the only ones who can really battle these aliens where normal weapons can hurt them but not kill them.

The series is pretty huge in Japan as you can expect, it has two seasons and a movie, games and everything else you expect from a big name. Since it's so successful it's getting a third season and a few more movies coming soon. ;)

The series main characters are all based on real WW2 fighter aces and are named after them. The "Striker" units on their legs also take taints and looks from their fighter planes they used to fly.

In the case of Lucchini, she was named after Franco Lucchini who flew a Fiat G.55. Her weapon of choice is a Breda-SAFAT 12.7 mm machine gun.

Till next time gentlemen and ladies. ;)

I like the top half of the model, but those leg things and the lack of clothing of the lower half just make it look silly :(
