No i'm not talking about dirty, pervy, sex related board games (do they exist haha?!) but ones aimed at adults rather than kiddies.

Renting a cottage out in a couple of months for myself and about 12-14 friends to spend the weekend and was trying to think of some good board games to take with us to crack out at night for a laugh.

Monopoly is always a firm favourite but you know you're in for the long haul when you start playing as it can easily roll into a 5 hour epic. Jenga usually gets whipped out too as its easy to get going with.

Can anyone suggest any board games that are more geared to grown ups and would go down well with a group of mid twenty year olds!?

Yup, played it yesterday for the first time - as you say having a dark/twisted sense of humour really helps :D

Board game forum is this way ----> :p

Cards Against Humanity is great in large groups, as is Avalon.

I'd also recommend Dixit and Ticket To Ride if you want games that don't require much explaining.

Take a look through this thread and watch a few episodes of Tabletop.

I can recommend Smash Up, Last Night on Earth and Small World. Excellent fun with like minded people.

Escape from colditz is awesome if you can find it I decent condition. Also, I have this epic version of monopoly where the properties you buy add to your tower, and first to fill the tower wins. The best bit about it is that the entire game mechanic is about screwing other players over instead of grinding and luck. Short games but awesome fun.

if you live in london, come to London OnBoard MEET UP group (the one that takes place in the red herring) as they have games stock there, just take a look at few games, try them and see which one you like.

I love Avalon (better with 7-10 people).
