I would like to help you quit the stinkies. I have a Kayfun Light Plus that I am willing to gift to an OCUK member.

Tell me your sob story about how terrible your shop bought cig-alike is (still want to smoke arggghhh!) or EVOD (leaking all over the place, tastes like dog doo etc) and I'll consider sending it to you. ;) This is for the "not quite converted" crowd by the way - no-one else need apply.

I'll make my decision on July the 20th (my 40th Birthday) and I'll send a basic building kit with the Kayfun (Wire, cotton etc), I'll include some awesome Juice to try and I'll even give one to one advice on building it over skype in real time when you receive it.

Where you get the red astaire flavour concentrate?

I normally get it from Chefs Vapour, iirc its slightly cheaper there, also i use discount code AAEC for an extra 10% off.
Would also recommend Minty the Toff (minty toffee) and Affro Dizziak (similar to the old cough sweets you could buy)
Mix
RA @ 20% (i find it perfectly good at 17% so i can make 60ml ;))
MTT @ 20% this does need it at 20%
AD @15% its quite a strong flavour

also nice gesture Lt_Red :)
Obviously count me out as i am an experienced vaper by now, but will suit a new vaper wanting to go to the next step

My word that is a generous offer. Surely not a genuine one to be giving away?

Good luck to whoever gets this. One of THE best atties out there.

Wow very generous. Typically I've just ordered my first setup to start vaping and kick the cigs. Tried e-lites and did well for 2 weeks and then a number of things kinda happened at once that just ended up with me smoking again.
Never really tried quitting properly but I'm at a point where I'm ready to kick it.

Wow very generous.

I keep dropping my cheap atties and they keep breaking on me :(

I am pretty much converted though, and will upgrade my kit in due course when I can afford to.

Really liking triphammer's Apple & Mango at the moment, anybody else use an apple they would recommend? Would preferably want to bulk buy as it works out a lot cheaper (I know mixing my own would be even better, but I've only just started vapeing so give me time)

This thread needs more pics!

What are you all vaping on today?

At work today so no dripper for me lol.

Running my Nemesis with Kayfun Lite+ at .7ohms. Probably still too cloudy for work, but oh well :p

Today it's iTaste SVD (about 1.5 years old) and KayFun Lite Clone (about 3 weeks old)
EDIT - Microcoil (2mm) and cotton

On PureVape's goop.

GF now using the ProTank 2 :)

Virgin Vapours from USA is very tasty but leaving it to cure properly ^.^

Actually rocking the Hana modz and KFL+ at work today! Couldn't be assed to faff and it was the first thing I picked up. :D

Think I'll mix up a bit of RA either tonight or the weekend, time dependent.

So is custardy lovechild the one to go for? Better than Grants? :)

Watched Bursado's vid of the SX350 board - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ARcoviGKT5A

Do want.

So, im wanting to give up the smoke and rollies, and was wondering what do poeple recommend as a good starter, or one that more expensive but long term worth it?

Im sorry if this gets asked every other week in a long thread.

To be honest, a GOOD starter kit isn't hugely cheaper than getting something pretty decent straight off the bat.

As always, I'll recommend the Innokin iTaste MVP V2.

Here is pretty much the cheapest vendor in the UK for these :

http://myepack.co.uk/mods/itaste-mvp-v2-0-metal-grain.html

£37 and comes with a iClear 30 S atomizer. I don't particularly like them (the iClear), but many do love them. So it's worth trying. But it's also worth trying something else too, and it's always good to get a back-up. So I would recommend getting an Aspire BDC clearo too from the same place :

http://myepack.co.uk/clearomizers/aspire-vivi-nova-s-bdc-glass-version.html

At only £6 they are a bargain. Pyrex glass (as some eliquids can crack the plastic tanks you often get), and dual coil. You will need some replacement heads for both the iClear and the Aspire, but it might be worth waiting until you try them both first, to see which one you prefer.

If you think that'll be too much for you, you can get a proper starter kit. This would do it : http://myepack.co.uk/kits/evod-glass-starter-kit.html It looks pretty decent. But I found I moved on from such devices pretty quickly, and if I knew then what I know now, I would have went straight for the MVP / Aspire combo.

That said, if you haven't even tried it, then you might not want to invest over £50 straight away. In which case, a really cheap device could be worth a punt to see if it's for you. It will work as a back-up device later anyway if you find it is for you.

I started with one like this : http://www.paradisevapeuk.co.uk/product-p/express.htm

And for £8 it will at least give you an idea if this could work for you. It was enough for me to not smoke another cigarette, but the day I got it, and started using it, was the day I put in my order for something more advanced. So it COULD be a wasted £8, or it good be the best £8 you have ever spent.

Then it's just a case of picking your e-liquid. Depending on how much you smoke just now will determine what strength of eliquid to start with. I started with 36mg/ml, but I would think 24 mg/ml would be plenty.

Flavour is subjective. I personally hate tobacco flavoured liquids, much preferring fruits & mints. Although when I first started, Red Bull and Irn Bru were two of my favourites. But you should get a few different flavours to try them out. It took me a while to settle on my first all day vape (ADV), and my first one was Irn Bru, then switched to Blueberry and Mint. Now it's Red Astaire (from T-Juice). But finding your flavour CAN be the most expensive aspect. But also the most fun. Until you get into rebuildables anyway.

Vapemail this morning. So a few things...

3D dripper (sitting ontop of a Nemesis) :

And a Chi You clone (with a Kayfun Lite + V2 topper) :

I'll be alternating between these 3 devices today... (my nucleic posted earlier being the third).

Thanks so much for this, though I was hoping for a less blocky deisgn if possible?, about £40 mark is where I was thinking for the device, im not a heavy smoker by any means, just tired of what I do smoke, I dont even think the nicotine is a large factor, more a persistent habit and routine for me.
I dont feel like trying a "cheapo" version, as from the outset that could give a poor representation to how it should be, then that would put me off the entire endeavour.

You can get a more tube style mod, no problem. The problem with them is they are roughly the same price, but you will be required to purchase separate batteries and charger. This is not a problem, of course, but will be more expensive.

The SVD is a good device : http://myepack.co.uk/mods/itaste-svd-express-full-kit.html
Or a Vamo V5 : http://myepack.co.uk/mods/vamo-v5-full-kit-ss.html

These kits will come with reasonable batteries and a decent charger, so should set you up quite well.

I haven't had an SVD myself, but have had a couple Vamo's.

You could go straight into mechanical mods, but that would probably be too steep of a learning curve, as you have to get into battery safety, and ideally coil rebuilding too.
