I don't agree with the actions of Israel from a moral point of view, whether the topic is Gaza, the West Bank or their attitude towards Palestinians.
That being said, I believe Israel is the lesser evil and I tend to side with them on most of the issues in the Middle East (the exception is an attack on Iran - this would be totally unacceptable). Despite all the flaws in the politics and dominant mentality in Israel, they have a functional society governed by the rule of the law, first and foremost. After decades of conflict, the Palestinians have been unable to organise themselves and build a functional society of their own. Why are there rockets still taking off from Gaza? Why are the Palestinians still dominated by religious militants or former/actual terrorists? If they got a country to call home, what would prevent it from turning into mess such as Iraq or Syria? Israel caught the murderers who attacked that palestinian boy right away, where are the murderers of the Israeli teenagers?
I don't like what Israel is doing but I'll take their orderly militaristic nationalism over the chaotic tribalism of the Palestinians.
Interesting - Palestinian boy was terror victim:
