Voice your opposition to the Israeli actions for the past 65+ years

Andy since Israel has been created they've slowly been taking more and more lands off the palestinians, this IS the crux of the matter.

Eventually there will be no Palestine, this is the Israeli agenda and it looks like they will complete there goal.

presumably this will result i peace at that point then and everyone can carry on.

WHat police force lol ? what police force would allow rockets to be fired from schools (United Nation funded schools) or outside mosques? Have they looked for the killers of the 3 Israeli boys that were murdered? I think your blind ignorance of the situation is founding your opinion ?

That's ironic given you don't even know the basic facts of the situation...been to Israel lately?

That's a dangerous path when we all hold so many opinions (you included). To insinuate they are only valid with direct experience is foolhardy. I've noticed that some people who do have direct experience (eg have been to Israel) will then just form stronger opinions deeper rooted in subjectivity rather than balanced comparison.

Sure, that's completely accurate. When a strong military take a bunch of land successfully, expanding their landmass, control and power..... they always stop at the border....

The zionist agenda has always been to take the entire area that Palestinians owned. But when that agenda is completed, well, power mad, violent people intent on killing who have no respect for life, borders or morals...... with more arab states nearby full of people they don't give a flying **** about. Personally I see no reason they will stop after taking all the Palestinians land. You get these horrible people in power who achieve a goal... exceptionally rarely do these types of people go "oh... I'm now completely happy with what I have", they'll be thinking about what they can do next to expand their power.

There will no doubt be some refugee's sitting over a border in some nearby state, and they'll insist on attacking them, and start a fight with another arab state at the same time, and they'll still feel safe with stronger military and the threat of nukes behind them.

The whole...

first they came for the socialists....then the trade unionists....then the jews... and no one was left to speak out when they came for me...

applies for me, they've come for the Palestines... but people that do this are never happy, they never stop pushing for more. A military nation that pushes to attack and kill others for their own benefit, it's not Palestinians they care about but land and power they want. I wouldn't be remotely surprised to see them hitting refugee's of Palestine in other countries, a few years of strengthening borders, then they'll start their crap with someone else.

As I didn't say any of that your point is moot.

After ten days of relentless bombardment of Gaza, resulting in more that 200 deaths, the Israelis have today launched a land invasion of Gaza.

Next Saturday (19th July) at midday there will be a demonstration opposite Number Ten Downing Street followed by a march to the Israeli embassy in London.

The UK is a dictatorship, if a million people can't change the course of the Iraq war, then a couple of thousand wont change this.

I'm sorry.

Oh sorry I took the following post for 'you don't know anything 'cause you haven't been there'.

It certainly has that vibe. Or would you rather actually say what you meant by that specifically the later part.

It was a leading question to try to prise out of him his knowledge base...thus far he has given a lot of statements and authoritative opinion without much substance. It in no way was meant to imply that you have to have been there to have a validated opinion, although now you mention it in that context, depending on your relative experience, it can be a valid source which holds significant weight, Direct Experience used objectively is valuable.

I WAS THERE :)

A great (if incredibly hot and humid) day with a lively and very vocal but peaceful crowd and some interesting speeches - Tariq Ali and Ben White were particularly good - George Galloway was George Galloway ;)

According to the organisers, 100,000 marched.
According to the Police, 20,000 to 20,000 marched.
The Policeman I spoke to admitted that there were probably about 50,000.

Predictably, the pro-Israeli BBC have completely ignored the march

Interestingly, the French have banned all marches opposing Israel - SAY WHAT?

I'll just leave this here for you.

What a load of trollop backed by this guy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dennis_Prager

"On November 28, 2006, he wrote that Keith Ellison, the first Muslim elected to Congress, should not be allowed to take his Congressional oath using a Koran because "the act undermines American civilization."[9] In response, former New York City Mayor Edward Koch termed Prager a bigot and called for an end to his service on the United States Holocaust Memorial Council.[10][11] The Anti-Defamation League wrote that Prager's position was "intolerant, misinformed and downright un-American.""

Instead of just posting garbage and dismissing the video as 'trollop', why don't you tell us what in the video is trollop. Don't just assert things either, back up your allegations with evidence.

Did you read the rest of his post, the guy is clearly a trollop.

As for the video it's basically saying "Israel is great because it is more socially and technologically advanced then its neighbours". Totally ignoring there moral compass.

presumably this will result i peace at that point then and everyone can carry on.

Who says it will be peaceful when it happens, what will neighbours say, how will they treat the arabs, how will they achieve this control?

If the populations are 50/50 wouldnt they still want a two state solution?

So many outcomes, so many possibilities.

or another 6 day war land grab
Within six days, Israel had won a decisive land war. Israeli forces had taken control of the Gaza Strip and the Sinai Peninsula from Egypt, the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, from Jordan, and the Golan Heights from Syria.
