Do banks allow large withdrawals of small denominations?

Where do you think many small shops get their floats? :p

they clearly special order them according to this thread.

where do people think independent shops and market traders etc take their cash at the end of the day? the garbage dump?

of course a bank wont have 150 x £1 coins only someone in GD would be silly enough to think a bank would have any money.

maybe try the post office instead or a currency shop you flipping nutter!

I'm sure most banks could do this, as has been said small shop (as well as pubs) get their floats from the banks. Bare in mind banks do charge their business customers for this. So it might be same for you.

Used to as recently as ten years ago, but no longer. It's all about the plastic bags now.

okay just thought it would have been hilarious if op went to the bank and they gave him coin rolls of brand new coins when he's hoping to get some old coin designs he doesn't have

Why wouldn't they? its a bank, this should be there business.

If you walked in and asked for 100 steaks, I could see there being a problem

They'd sell you some insurance for the steaks....

They problem would for a bit of rump :p

On a serious note though I have heard of some banks not allowing people to change over 10 bags of change for bigger coins/notes, so maybe there are some banks with certain rules.

only when it's small value coins and because of the limited space they have in small banks.

they don't want every man and his dog bringing in a billion 2pences every day
