*** The Official Playstation 4 (PS4) Thread ***

Looks great. Didn't get to play the PS3 version so I'm looking forward to this! Then we've got GTA 5 remaster coming as well which I didn't play last gen either. Awesome. Should definitely make up for the lack of big titles recently.

All these free PS plus games are keeping me fairly busy though. Downloaded Trine 2 and wasn't expecting much, but it turned out to be one of the best puzzle platformers I've ever played. Excellent game.

Played though Strider recently as well. Very challenging game on hard difficulty. Awesome boss fights.

The ejecting none ejecting disc problem is solved with a turn of the screw near the hdd. Did mine, wasn't ejecting, been great since.

Last Of US Remastered looks stunning, those new screenshots

Can't believe some people say they can't see any difference between PS3 > PS4.. Need to get themselves down to specsavers asap :p

Up close on a PC monitor is one thing, but in motion from a distance on a TV when playing...not so much.

Don't get me wrong, it does look nice, but I don't think it's going to transform how the game feels or plays.

I've just deleted BF4. I played it for the first time in months on Friday, it crashed on exiting then the PS4 wouldn't turn on on Saturday morning, on second attempt it booted to safe mode and checked the system, then booted fine.

I thought nothing of it, then played BF4 again tonight, as soon as I closed the application it got back to the homescreen and completely lost video output and controller turned off. Had to hard reset and try a couple of times to get it to power up again, then the same safe mode system checking thing that happened on Saturday.

Very strange, and oddly I had no issues whatsoever when everyone was saying it was a crashy mess, now they say it's fine and it seems to be knackering my system :P

Of course it will transform it for people who have never played it... It will be like a new game with better graphics. What's not to like? PH

Hi
Don't normally watch Netflix on my ps4, but I noticed that all titles only have hd next to them instead of super hd, is that normal?
I checked the info while playing and it did say superhd.

Thanks

That's a crazy way of looking at it. Games look alright from a distance so we shouldn't be bothered about graphics? Maybe we should all just stick with PS3 then because that's looks alright from the sofa?

Regarding the PS4 version..

1080P, better textures, enhanced graphics effects, enhanced sound and best of all 60fps.

It really will transform the way the game feels, looks and plays :P

That's not what I said at all. The PS3 version does still look superb and play very well though; it's not a game like GTA5 where the limitations of the hardware were noticeable all the time.

If anything it's praise for Naughty Dog that the PS3 version still stands up quite well even when there's a PS4 version.

TLoU PS3 was the pinnacle of that generations graphics, so its not a surprise it holds up well against the remaster...

ps3ud0

Huh? How does that work? If they've never played it they have nothing to compare it to.

You made sense TheVoice, no idea how they got that out of your posts

BF4 works fine for me that sounds like there is something wrong with your PS4 tbh.

It's never skipped a beat before, and I've not experienced anything like it from any of my other games aside from these two instances with BF4. It'll get a good workout next week with TLOU which will give an indication as to if there's an underlying issue, but for the moment it's only associated with BF4.

Is a bit of a weird one. Maybe a re-install/Download of BF4 might help ?

Ah right I'm with you now bud.

Yeah I do think the 60fps, 1080P along with improved textures and sound etc really will make this look and play like a fresh game.

My original comment was for those guys who say they can't see a difference, there is a massive difference just in visuals, along with higher fps and sound etc. I think maybe it's the Xbox guys or people upset about having to pay twice.

I was one that bought the Last of Us at launch for PS3, and don't feel like I'm being ripped off by getting it again on PS4. Game I am most looking forward to atm, this and the Witcher 3..

Just because I haven't played it doesn't mean I haven't seen it or know what it looks like.

I am a gamer since the early 90's, so of course I can appreciate what a real graphical upgrade does for the immersion of a game. It's not even a debate.
