After actually reading the article I'm siding with the school.
The school were not informed of the reason for her absence until after the event.
As far as they knew she didn't have 100% attendance.
You meant the school did not have a record of her attendence and absences with the reason from the actual event?
I find that hard to believe, each absence at my sons school must be confirmed by letter specifying the reason, this firms part of his record.
In any case, the school knew she had attended he mothers funeral at the time of the absence, it seems rather poor to simply say "we forget" or "we didn't know". Sounds like BS to me.
