I remember playing the originals and they were great games. I personally feel the price tag is a little too high for a rehash of the original. I wouldn't mind paying it if they added some new content but it's just updated resolution and textures. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Although it is the exact same game, it has been remade entirely from the ground up. It's not just a case of re-skinning and bumping up the res on an old game. Just have a look at some PS1 screenshots and that'll show you just how much work has gone into this remake.

Maybe not worth £17.99 in the day and age of Steam sales etc.. but I loved the original and this gives me something to play on my PS4 before TLOU & Destiny hit.

I have a feeling it'll be free on PS+ in a month or two.
 
The timing is suspiciously close to Microsoft announcing the same thing but I guess Sony can move fast when they have to.

I really want to store all my music on the PS4. At this rate it looks like that feature may never be added.

Mind you, you can't even re-organise icons into folders yet so they need to make that an absolute priority update IMO

Can you customise folders on Xbox One?

I already have like 30 game icons in a line - really annoying. I wouldn't mind if the voice command worked but it's not great with my accent!!! I asked for Battlefield and it went to Metal Gear....lol

I guess if you said it like Bettelfeeld it could sound like Metal Gear :D

But I agree, would love to get rid of most of the stupid app icons that never get used

My big gripe is that I have to keep sticking DVDs in when I want to play something different.. Why can't they just make it diskless? I've bought a few Digital games but the ones I have on DVD are a pain..

Because when msoft tried this approach with X1 people went up in arms about it, due to misinformation, lack of communication or other reasons... or something. I think :p
 
AFAIK all of the game content is installed on the HD anyway, so it's not saving any space, it's just making it more inconvenient.

By DVD you mean Blu-Ray I take it?

Anyway the reason should be obvious... you can re-sell the discs. That means on every game I finish and complete and don't want to play any more, I can then sell it for a minimum of 50% of the retail price, and put that money towards another game.

Over time that is a HUGE amount of return vs only buying digital download and then not being able to sell it. In fact, I would say that anyone who goes digital download only is literally throwing their money way and will lose hundreds over the life of the console.
